Noblitt-PC — Local services in Bartlesville

The shop is nice, and looks in general similar to most small business owned computer shops, its nice, mostly clean and some what organized. It has a good location. I went to NoblittPC with a specific need, an Intel based motherboard, and this is where the trouble started. The employee working there was very friendly and nice. I provided the socket information that I needed for the processor i wanted to utilize for an INTEL board. They retrieved an AMD board first. I advised them of the error, and they go to the back and return with a Pentium 4 board. Sure its Intel and we are getting closer. It took about 25 minutes to locate an LGA-1155 socket board, after many trials and error, and even offering to help sort through whatever they were looking through. Finally I am checking out at the front counter, I hand over my credit card (just ready to leave and get back to my project) and i was looking over the board, and flipped it over and written in permanent marker- "BAD MOTHERBOARD". I showed the clerk, and promptly left after they tried to sell me something they had clearly tested bad. Luckily I caught it in time and my card wasn't charged. This seems to be a knowledgeable computer repair shop. They say they are open until 5 o’clock. Except when they aren’t. How to know? Just come by their shop. When the door is locked, then you know that no one is there. It’s really too bad if you were on your way back from Tulsa and try to stop to pick up your computer and find the door locked. If you hurry and leave work at 4:30 to try to get there before five and find that they closed early and that the door is locked… You guessed it… Better luck next time. I am guessing that I have probably tried to call and not been able to reach them 20 times. They have no knowledge when they will be there and when they won’t. I have used Noblitt in the past and was happy, recently used them again to try and save an HP laptop that I spilled coffee on. :) It was not a good out come, not their fault. The computer could not be saved, but they had refurbished ones I could purchase. a fraction of the cost of a new one. I was not going to replace it but it was such a good deal, I just couldn't pass it up! It has all of my files, pictures. . .you name it, they are exactly what was on my old computer and upgraded to windows 10 to boot. I am so happy with it, is it shinny and PERFECT on the outside? No, but not unsightly, very very pleased with the computer, especially with what is inside. Even a new one would have a little wear and tear on the outside after a little use.
