I've always gone to Methodist for any emergencies and I am bummed that I ended up at Saint Francis bartlett. I do not feel comfortable disclosing why I was there but let's just say there is still a major stigma attached to any kind of drug use. Medical professionals should be treating you with no I feel like I was spoken down to, condescended to, patronize, etc. I asked them to check levels that I thought were relevant and they refused to. I've been coming off a blood pressure medicine and having a very hard time with it but they didn't ask about any of that stuff. They also didn't ask when I told him I had endocrine issues. They didn't think it was necessary to check my cortisol levels. Well I understand that what they're able to do is limited, my overall treatment was subpar. I felt like I waited around in the middle of the hall forever and my jewelry was taken off and just handed back to me, not put in a bag. And now I have a silver chain that I cannot find anywhere. They State they can't find it either.
The situation was just chaotic. I don't feel like anyone communicated and I don't feel that I got the attention I know I deserve for the amount of money they're going to get paid. I was scared and I don't feel that I got any kind of reassurance.
I also noticed they were very understaffed. I was told I could be discharged if I could find someone to pick me up but then I was rudely told that I would have to wait because the doctor was with someone that was actually critical. I had asked for a cup of water for about 2 hours and never got one. It's like they just do the things they have to do but then ignore your needs. And at the amount insurance companies payout, this isn't okay.
I don't know what was with the attitude but I've never encountered so many bad attitudes in my life in a healthcare facility. If I ever have to go back to the ER I will be bagging them not to take me to Saint francis. Oh in my necklace didn't...
Read moreI really want to give St. Francis Bartlett a BIG ZERO - the wait time is terrible, I feel like there is no urgency for your condition, my husband has Congestive Heart Failure and we got here at 3:00p and nothing done until 8:19p , my husband was shivering, cold, dizzy, wobbly, blood pressure 180 or over, how sick do you have to be to get waited on in a timely manner. At the speed they are going you can be getting worse or die because you just sitting and nothing being done. The girl at the desk was telling me they are short of help and that is not my concern, they are open for business and that is to take care of the customer. With all the different viruses going around why would swab for Flu and not Covid, that makes no earthly sense. I really need to look into suing yall because now he has COVID because of yall unconcern for the patient. St. Francis, please get it together and treat people like you would want to be treated or shut down if you can't do your...
Read moreOur family has ended up in the emergency room the last two Saturdays. First for my 90 year old mother in law for falling and hitting her head. The doctor was talking with her within 5 mins of us getting to the ER. She was promptly assessed and tests ordered. CT scans were completed and results read in less than 2 hours. This weekend my husband had a racing heart and once again he was seen by the doctor within 10 mins of our arrival and he had already had an BP, EKG and bloodwork. Dr ordered labs and scans and he had all results within 3 hours. Both visits felt like the staff cared, they were competent, and the processes followed were efficient. The staff worked as a team and everyone was working to take care of the patients. For ER visits these were both positive experiences as we felt that the staff was taking care of our loved ones and ruling out serious...
