Well, I delayed writing this review. My issue is not completely resolved. But I’m not at all happy with the quality of a top grain leather sofa that I believe is a mfg design defect or mfg used bad batch of leather.
The sofa has been in my home now for 7 months. It was 4-5 months when I noticed the wearing, because the leather is rubbing against leather when sat on. Leather color is wearing off. Seat Cushion moves forward (and it’s attached with Velcro). I was told this is normal wear & tear. I replied that this was not acceptable. A tech was sent out and I informed the tech if the repair was not going to resolve the quality issue, there was no need to “touch up” the leather because it will just rub off again. I requested customer service to pick up the sofa, as well as the recliner because it’s not of good quality. My request was denied. Customer Service have ordered new seat covers. Hope the batch lot color is the same. I do not know what custom service solution will be for the “welt” damage on the arm near the seat cushion. Oh, and the seat cushions on the sofa isn’t firm like the recliner seat cushion or store display. Seat cushions are now flat..,doesn’t spring back. Sofa looks like I’ve had for a couple yrs and it was delivered in Feb. I have filed a damage claim with Guardman’s protection plan on the recliner to repair the cut/tear between the nailheads on the arm. I don’t feel confident in a satisfactory resolution to that claim based on recent complaint reviews I’ve read about Guardman’s
I am 100% unhappy with the quality of what I purchased. I would not recommend this selection of leather furniture. Haverty’s should not sell any of this mfg product. This hurts customers who trust they are buying good...
Read moreWe went to the store, picked out the furniture we want and chose the 36 month financing. We asked for a Saturday delivery, but we were told there were no appointments available. Fine. We scheduled for today, 8/30, with an understanding that we would get a 4 hour window and then a 2 hour window (the day before delivery). Our appointment started out at 5:15 to 7:15. At the time I checked the status, it showed (at 5:30) there were five other stops ahead of us. The estimated delivery time got pushed back twice, and finally we got a call stating we would not get the delivery today at all. Instead of their bumping someone else from tomorrow's delivery, they said we MIGHT get it delivered Saturday (mind you, it was Saturday that we asked for in the beginning!) Then....we were told "if not Saturday, it MIGHT be Tuesday". Might be? How do we go from a Wednesday delivery to the Tuesday of NEXT week.....MAYBE? Furthermore, in anticipation of getting our new furniture, we gave all our old furniture away. This is TOTALLY unacceptable after we've paid a down payment and signed a contract to pay for said furniture. I have bought furniture from Haverty's seven years ago and got EXCELLENT service and quality furniture....that is the reason we returned to them. But after THIS...???? Read moreGo here to shop: We had an easy shopping experience at Havertys. The sales associate didn't hound us, but she was attentive. She answered all of our questions and was very friendly and easy to deal with. We were just looking, but I'd been eyeing a dining table for a bit. Well we ended up buying the table and got a nice desk. Everything was great, and delivery was easy. However, we realized after delivery that we had asked for showroom table which was 102 inches, but we received the 80" table. It was both the sales associate and our fault. I didn't check the length, just said we wanted the setup on display. I was a bit worried because generally you can't return or exchange furniture, and like I said partially my fault. Plus, this happened right before everything closed down for covid. Called today and the sales associate is no longer there, so I asked to speak to the manager. I got NO GRIEF whatsoever. Michael was immediately responsive and said we will get it switched. I was completely surprised. I'm getting ready to have my first baby, and was worried about this, which is not what you want to deal with. Turns out there was no need. I cannot believe it. Thank you Micheal, so much!
