Black Cat Music Shop — Local services in Bath (Berkeley Springs)

I make sure to stop by Black Cat every time I’m in Berkley Springs. It has an awesome layout, good selection of all kinds of instruments and accessories, and there’s always some kind of hidden gem I seem to find there. I’ve bought everything from a guitar and amp, to cables, straps, drum sticks, you name it. There’s always something for a musician to find here. I wish every music store was like Black Cat. The staff is extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Plus open mic nights, lessons, and community involvement all around make this a blueprint for how a local music shop should run. Love the little Orange amp I just grabbed over the weekend there and can’t wait to go back next time...

I’ve been to a lot of music shops in the US and have encountered a lot of owners along the way. Most are mediocre with an ego, very few are stellar.

These guys are stellar.

The shop is incredibly organized, clean, and the staff is attentive and friendly (including the 🐶).

I came by the shop today for the first time to drop off my bass to get a setup and these guys were very thorough and actually seemed to care about their clientele. They have a unique selection of instruments and are very reasonably priced.

Over the years BlackCat Music Shop has remained the same, and I mean that in a very good way! It has a very friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and offers a great selection of brands that other local shops don't carry.
