The Naked Olive Lounge — Restaurant in Bath (Berkeley Springs)

Went here with a party of 5 people on 7/17/21. Menu looked interesting so we wanted to try it out. It was not super busy for a Saturday and yet somehow we had the slowest service I think I have ever experienced. There were about 5 tables full in the lounge area and about 10 people in the bar, yet we waited over an hour for our food after ordering. When they brought our food out, they brought 2 orders our and didn't bring the rest our for 20 minutes. In contrast there was another table with 6 or 8 people at it and all of their food was brought out at the same time.

Similarly, when we were done we ordered dessert to go which took another 20 minutes, then 10-15 more minutes just to get our bills, and then more of the same to get them back! My wife and her friend went and sat at the bar while we were waiting on the bills, they sat there for 15+ minutes without so much as an acknowledgement. During that time one of the waitresses got a glass of wine for another couple at the end of the bar and didn't even greet them. There were 4 wait staff working and all of them were clustered around the register that entire time, I don't even know what they were doing.

All told we ended up spending 2 1/2 hours here mostly just waiting for stuff. I assume it must not always be like this because that was just ridiculous.

The food was good at least, I got the large crabcake sandwich and my wife got the shrimp salad stuffed avocado and we liked both items. Be aware the sliders are tiny, my friend got them and I was glad I did not. The chocolate torte was good but was a pretty small slice for $8.

Considering our group probably spent almost $300 in here I would have liked much better service than...

A hidden gem!

We were recently in Berkeley Springs for our family vacation. We wanted to support a local restaurant. My older christen had just visited the Naked Olive to purchase some olive oils when we saw the lounge. Due to the fact this place was a lounge, I wasn’t sure if they allowed children. I’m glad I went in to find out. This place is amazing in every way! The food, the service, the atmosphere…the very top of the saying, top notch!

We had a very large party of 13 walk-ins and they accommodated us nicely. The servers were unbelievably polite and on par!

The restaurant has a very cool vibe. Artwork decorating the walls is for sale. Light fixtures are wine bottles.

The food. Oh my goodness! I cannot stress enough how absolutely amazing it all was! I got the Bacon Pepper Jam Pulled Pork Sandwich. My husband got the Chuck Roast Grinder. Many bother dishes throughout our party including a charcuterie board. Can I just say that their Truffle Oil Chips that come on the side are to die for!

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!

To start off positively- the lounge is absolutely beautiful. The music was great, there could be plenty of people in main room and you won't feel crowded.

Everything else - we didn't have a reservation so we were told to wait about 20-25 minutes, which is respectable and we were more than happy to do so. After an hour of not hearing anything, we went back in to touch base and our name was crossed off the list. We inquired as to why and were just told that it would only be a couple more minutes. We waited and got to our table. We were willing to look it all over since we were told by other people people it usually doesn't get that busy.

Being sat down at exactly 7:09 we ordered the charcuterie board and two drinks. We got them at 7:44 watered down and condensation all around like it was sitting there for a while before even getting to us.

The BBQ entree was decent enough. It came a little cold but there's no point of complaining since we didn't see our waitress until the end. The salad looked pretty but tasted off and kinda plastic-like.

Finally, I've never encountered a restaurant where we had to ask three other people where the waiter was just to have an attitude coming to give us our check.
