We were visiting from NJ and missed our kitties so we stopped by. We spent a couple hours here, admission let's you come back all day so we ate lunch then stopped in for a few more minutes 🙃. Im a vet tech and already have 6 cats but if I had room Granola would have came home with me!!! There were a couple grumpy cats but for the most part everyone was happy and everyone was well taken care of. Other reviews mention the smell, the litter was constantly scooped but yes it smells like a typical shelter environment but it's not terrible. I would definitely adopt from them in the future, especially since I would know that the cats are cat friendly unlike a regular shelter where it's hit or miss. Read moreSuper friendly and awesome, we saw Bart online and after several calls we finally made it to quaint Berkeley Springs home of give purrs a chance, stepping into the place you are greeted with there love for the feline and the felines themselves that unto itself immediately puts you at ease. We as a family have visited other rescue homes /adoption sites and were instantly taken into a scene from a horror show, but not here an abundance of furry friends and a shop to purchase some unique Cat toys and other knick knacks. Omg!!! I forgot to mention the wheel 🎡 do yourself a favor and have one of the staff try to get a cat on the wheel that is worth the price of admission to it's own. Ok so best place to get a furry friend ever Simple process Awesome customer service Abundance of friends Gift...

My husband I stopped here while visiting Berkeley Springs from out of state and had a very nice experience. We were not looking to adopt as we already have two cats and a dog (with one of out kitties being older and not especially tolerant of new comers). It was very tempting, however, to apply for one (actually two) of the little angels at 'Give Purrs A Chance'. We fell in love with two nine month old male littermates who had just arrived at their facility the day prior. We held our ground on behalf of our older kitty at home but highly recommend adopting here if you are looking to add a new member to your family. We had a lot of fun playing with the cats and were really glad we stopped by...
