Pics are of a ā€œquicheā€ (pictured with the tomato and cheese on top) and a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough. The main reason I feel compelled to leave this review is because the quiche was not what I would call a quiche, rather it was more of a frittata. A quiche typically has a crust, this did not have any type of crust. It was simply an egg bake of sorts with I believe some hash potatoes in it or something. I am not a picky eater at all, but I didn’t even finish this. The eggs were soggy and it was tasteless as a result. As for the sandwich it was extremely underwhelming, all slapped together and no taste. The bread had no toast to it at all. I mean just very disappointing. Its location and cute decor must lure people in but when I walked up to the counter trying to find menu information someone reluctantly finally acknowledged me and it was just not a good vibe overall. The restaurant itself was cute but all seats including the two tables outside were taken so I just went across the street and ate on a bench at the park. Maybe I ordered the wrong things or came in on a bad or busy day (Friday late morning), but I would suggest the owners consider changing the name of their ā€œquicheā€, because that is very misleading. And maybe take a look at how the eggs are prepared because they had way too much moisture in them. I saw some other reviews where they had food that looked quite good so maybe if I ever end up back there for some reason I will try something different but like I said, I was very disappointed that I ordered a quiche that wasn’t a quiche at all. The sandwich was just alright but I was starving and it was basically the only thing open at the time which is probably why it...

Owner/manager extremely rude to a polite woman (me) traveling with an infant. I ordered a coffee and a sandwich. Waited about 25-30 minutes even though they weren’t busy when I placed my order. Checked out the springs across the street, so that was fine. Went to check in because it had been a while, and the owner/manager yelled out ā€œThis is for the person with a large latte!ā€ and put a sandwich at the pick up counter. Since I got a large latte and no one collected my name, obviously I thought there was a good chance this mine. I politely asked ā€œ is this the dearly beloved sandwich?ā€ She loudly and rudely responded ā€œ No! That’s a latte and the line starts at the backā€ Assuming I was trying to front the people standing in line. I politely clarify ā€œThis sandwich, is it the dearly beloved I ordered?ā€ She, again rudely responded ā€œNo your name will be called when your order is readyā€ Since they didn’t collect my name and clearly she just called out an order identifying it is ā€œthe person who ordered the large latteā€ which creates confusion, I pointed out no one asked my name. In a loud and condescending manner she shouted ā€œIf you paid with a credit card, we have your name! We are very busy right now!ā€ Indeed, there was a line at that time and everyone in the room observed this interaction and made faces of apology and empathy that this ridiculous woman was so rude to me. I was waiting outside with my stroller and TWO separate people stopped by on their way out made comments about how rude she was and checked in on me. The sandwich was ok the coffee was meh. I pass though here a lot but definitely won’t be back unless I feel like some nice verbal abuse and mediocre coffee to...

The food is pretty good can be a little bit pricey. They make an OKish chai tea. And the grilled cheese is good, Especially with the pickles.

Detected 2 stars for being rude, yes I know that the limitations are in place but having been outside standing in the cold since 8 AM this morning with a cold feels like of 48F and I’m sending your dining room waiting for my order for 15 minutes still serving writing this review. Plus telling me that I should be waiting outside implying that I should know the rules when I don’t know your individual perceived rules (we have no universal standards across this country). This is my second time being here probably won’t come back. The food service industry is a service industry I have worked in and it is going to be really hard in 2020 be polite to your customers yes they are sometimes not always right but.... It really does take me a lot of effort to write a bad review.

There is a sign on the door with the limits, that I was to shaking too much to see on my way in. If you’re going to be picky about rules then the only sign on your windows should be your hours your name and your rules and they better be short.

I digress.

Edit: apparently there is no reply mechanism. The chai is a good blend, it’s just different from my expectations of chai. I know that 2020 has been a rough year for most, beyond ā€œotherā€ circumstances and personally it has made me less tolerant to some things. I do Not need a refund but I am tired of having Covid being an excuse for being disrespectful. And I will be back outside in whatever whether volunteering for...

First just want to say what a relief it was to find a safe space in a small town in WV. We were traveling through and looking for places to grab breakfast and didn’t quite feel safe until we came across Fairfax Coffee House. Like an oasis in a desert. A wave of calm came over us as we entered to see art, pride flags, and positivity everywhere. Also just a side note the owner? manager? walked in while we were eating and addressed the entire staff ā€œgood morning all you beautiful peopleā€ā€¦ what a joy. As for the food and drink? Spectacular. I had a peppermint latte which was perfectly sweet and minty while still being able to taste the bitterness of the espresso. 10/10 The biscuits and gravy? I’m the type of person to rarely order food I think I make better at home and let me tell you, my B&G are world class. But… so is Fairfax Coffee House’s. The pepper flakes are such a good touch. You can taste the hint of bacon grease in the gravy (which as anyone who truly knows good B&G, that’s the key ingredient). 10/10 no notes. Forgot to get a photo of my meal but here’s my clean plate. šŸ˜‹
