Mockingbird Bookshop — Local services in Bath

Popped into mockingbird this past week to grab a book for my vacation as I read through the two I brought. The store is small but plentiful! I saw all the latest sellers and was able to find within a quick 15 minute pop in a book I had never read, nor heard of by an author I am familiar with. There were lots of children’s books, and I saw the store associate chatting with a woman about ordering books for her. This is a nice store and the staff is friendly. I hate to say anything negative about a small business, but there is an alarming amount of books that would be considered propaganda or left wing extremism. Think books about defunding the police and telling kids they can change their gender at any age. Theres also plenty of books from liberals but nothing with opposing viewpoints like Candace Owen's new book for example. I'm an Independent and I was taken aback by how ridiculously one sided it was. Mockingbird is my FAVORITE bookstore and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet!! In honor of Independent Bookstore on Saturday, I wanted to make sure that I did :) The staff of Mockingbird Bookshop is so friendly, the atmosphere inviting and it is located in the adorable city of Bath. Terri the owner is so kind and so great about ordering whatever my family needs. The shop has a wonderful selection of books for adults and kids, puzzles and the most amazing greeting cards! I never leave empty handed and I am so grateful to have such a beautiful shop so close...
