I have to say that the customer service and overall trustworthiness at this store is laughable. My boyfriend and I went and purchased almost $6000 worth of furniture on July 5th with the salesman Willie. We were told then that our furniture would be ready by our move in date of Aug. 31st. Mind you, we had been to two other furniture stores (Z Gallerie and Ethan Allen) that came right out and said that the furniture wouldn’t be ready on time. But we went with Haverty’s because they said that they could deliver. So on Aug. 17th, we went back into the store to see if we would be able to move our deliver date up by 3 days only to find out that all of our furniture wouldn’t be ready until Sep. 25th at the earliest. We never received any emails or phone calls alerting us of this delay and I am almost positive that if we didn’t go in that day, we wouldn’t have found out anything until the 31st. And to top it all off, the store had been having major delays in their furniture delivery since at least JUNE meaning they knew when we came in that there was a great chance we wouldn’t be receiving furniture for our delivery date. There were no signs posted, no warning before we purchased, and no updates sent out after purchasing either. I fully believe that these people are just willing to do anything for a sale and that they don’t care about their customers after they receive your money. Even the general manager isn’t looking to right the wrong that is CLEARLY their fault. Now we’re forced to go a month without furniture because even if we did refund our entire order, finding something in time is just next to impossible. At this price point, you think you’d at least be paying for a better quality of service but apparently not. Read moreAbsolutely horrible customer service. The sales people there are worst than used car salesmen. We purchased some furniture and they were QUICK to take our payment (paid in full). The furniture came and there were some pieces that we wanted to return/cancel from the order. I called to notify my sales person, MARGIE, and expressed my concern within the 3day timeframe for hassle free returns. They made a note in the system. It took MARGIE 3 days to return my call. We set up an appt to come to the store and she didn’t show up! I called her numerous times thereafter within about a 25 day span and still, NO response from her. Finally she called me back, only to tell me that I would no longer be able to get a refund for the furniture because they had “cancelled” my cancellation/refund request. I asked to speak with her manager and she hung up in my face. I proceeded to call the store and another sales associate, not a manager also refused to allow me to speak with a manger! I called and they said they had to order a part and would come fix it . I asked about what if it was the wrong part and they assured me they would fix the chair. It took forever. They said 2 weeks . Every time I called they would say two more weeks . The part came in about 6 -8 weeks later . They sent a tech out and it was the wrong part . They had to order another part . We waited another two months . They were supposed to fix it again today . They sent repairmen here without parts ! We told them to take the chair and they said they can’t .
