I ordered from Pizza Masters today, and the chocolate cake was covered in mold, and the pasta sauce they insisted was vegetarian was actually a meat sauce (which they later confirmed was true after I called back in). When I told them about the mold on my cake, they offered to replace my order with another slice from that same chocolate cake. I explained that no, I didn’t want another slice from that same moldy cake, I just wanted a refund (and ideally for them to throw out the rest of that cake so no one else gets served moldy food). Instead of checking the rest of the cake they had in store to see for themselves if it was spoiled, they asked me to provide a picture of my specific slice (which I did). At no point throughout the call did they check the rest of the cake they had in store or confirm that they would check it, even though I explained repeatedly that this wasn’t just a little bit of mold; the entire cake was spoiled and they needed to throw it out (pictures below to show I’m not exaggerating). After I agreed to send the picture, they said they could only refund me for the parts of the order that were messed up instead of giving me a full refund. Tbh, I’ve ordered from this place before, and have usually had a decent experience. But today’s mold-covered food combined with their misinformation about their vegetarian options and their poor response to their mistake (being stingy about the refund, acting suspicious that I was lying instead of concerned about the fact that they were serving spoiled food) makes this place a nonstarter for me moving forward. I also have serious doubts they got rid of the rest of the cake, as they didn’t check the cake for themselves the entire time we were on the call. My guess is that this place just cuts off the visibly moldy bits and continues to serve the rest to customers until the food runs out (which, for the record, I’m pretty sure is illegal). Read moreThe COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everyone and I understand the importance in supporting our local businesses and employees. Today, I made an order for delivery at 9:00PM and when the food arrived, our drinks were not included—yet the driver said it was in the bag. Hoping to get this resolved and to eat dinner, I quickly contacted Pizza Masters and was told the driver will come back to drop it off. Fast forward, it is already 15 minutes we have been waiting for our drinks to then be called by the driver saying “I left the drinks by the mailbox outside.” We asked the driver politely to bring the sodas upstairs....he never did. I contacted management to explain that this delivery service was unacceptable—by this point we lost our appetite and the food was cold. I stated to management that I am requesting a refund; however, was told that in order to processes the refund the food needs to be picked up by the driver. We agreed that the food will be left downstairs for pickup the same way the soda was left downstairs. It is already 10:30PM and received a call that the food is not downstairs but the soda is. I do not appreciate the fact that at this point I needed to defend myself and the truth of the food being left outside. Maybe someone or something had taken it. Read moreHi, just wanna say that we came home to Bayonne last year at Christmas time and it was my first time in 24 years. I'd left for the military when I was 19 and things worked out to where 25 years later I'm still running around. Alot has changed in Bayonne including seeing your restaurant, which in 1987 was a few little stores, one I remember being Blimpie. So naturally missing the taste of home I had to check you guys out, so walked in and liked the whole atmosphere, nicely arranged, customers looked happy, and business was popping. So we ordered to go to take back to the hotel with us and OMG lemme tell you, I was in Heaven!! Tbh I wanted to order everything on your menu but we wound up getting a few cheese pies (of course) and something I'd been dying for, a REAL sausage and pepper sandwich which made me melt!! We want to make it home each year in December but this summer I got sick and have been in the hospital, but better now and already planning out next year's trip!! I wish there were somehow it were possible to Ups/FedEx food because I definitely would, but hey, for anyone out and wanting something good from a good restaurant, trust me folks..go here, you will definitely be glad you did.
