I am leaving a review for the store in Baytown. I have purchased two tv and a sectional couch from them. Nick was my salesman for those purchases. I have no complaints about him. I recently was looking at purchasing another sectional from them, and this time spoke with Lilly the sales manager. She was extremely tacky and rude. She said there were some cosmetic issues with the sofa and they didn't want to get stuck with it if I didn't want it. I asked her if they could send me some picture. She straight out said no we're not doing that. So basically they dont want to be inconvenienced, but its ok to inconvenience me. Then I asked well if I have to go to this other store can my account be transferred over there. That was her attitude kick in full force. I then asked to speak with the now manager Nick. He explained depending on the distance my account can be moved. Im in the middle of the two store, so there shouldn't be an issue. I called the store that has the couch, and guess what, the sales lady has no issue sending me pictures. If im purchasing something online why do I want to come into the store. Not sure how Lilly has managed to be the sales manager this long. Her customer service skills are definitely lacking. I have never been told by a sales person your the problem. Read moreThe store manager at this location (Baytown Rent A Center) is very rude and does not take care of her customers the way she should. All of these other companies are delaying off monthly payments and working with their customers such as Conns, Apartment complexes, Baytown Utilities due to the Catastrophe Hurricane Harvey and this store manager at Baytown Rent A Center sent a Rent A Center employee to my front door to threaten us to make a payment. Then when we showed up to the store to make a payment she chose to display poor customer service by interrupting me while i was talking to my fiance... which triggered me to tell her, "your interrupting me while im consulting with my fiance" and also by making the comments " I don't have to rewrite your account if I don't want too." Cooperate Office has no say so in what we do here in our store." Then she chose to walk away from servicing us and collecting our payment saying that she doesn't have to deal with this. I will never ever give Rent-A-center any more of my business at the Baytown Location and I plan to cancel my contract within the month. This company will not be getting any referrals from me due to one store managers poor attitude and poor judgment calls. My account isn't even a full 30 days past due. And we offered to make a partial payment now then pay the rest next week. They said we had to pay what they were offering or they would come get...
Read moreI had my furniture delivered in June 2020, I was making bi-weekly payments starting June 17 for a total of 24 payments at $77.89 bi-weekly to complete contract. I paid June 17, July 3 and July 17. I then received an email to do a survey with the company. I completed the survey and just stated that the furniture was in poor condition.
I then received a phone call from the district Manager stating that he was concerned about my survey and wanted to “help me out”. All I had to do was come in and sign another contract for a “same as cash” reduction. I went in signed it and thanked him for being so helpful. My next payment on Aug 3 was for $99.78 I again paid it cause I didn’t want it to be late and they come pick up the furniture and then I called them. The manager apologized to me and told me there was an error in my new contract and that they would fix it no problem. My next payment was on Aug 17 for $77.89 after the “Mistake” was corrected. From Aug 17 to Jan 15 I’ve made 11 payments out of 24 according to rent a center and like the judge in there own scheme the previous payments from June17 ($77.89), July 03 ($77.89), July 17 (77.89), and Aug 3 ($99.78) have been stricken from there records.
Now you tell me if I got ripped off cause I have 15 receipts and I’ve only made 11 payments according to them!
