I used to love going here for freshly baked "bolillos" back in the day with the original owners. The sweet bread is good..but not like it used to be... with that being said. I got one of my favorite breads from there 2 days ago, the 'boudin' i think they call it. And was enjoying it with my coffee when i bit into it and pulled out a piece of paper baked into it. Im not the easily grossed out type..the bad thing is that i was almost done with it by the time i found the paper. I mean.. im still gonna keep shopping there... this is just for yall to be careful when gettin bread from here.. especially when we give this same bread to our kids like i do. My kids love when i get sweet bread.. for the owners.. please tell your bakers to pay better attention to their baking! And yes..i am going to continue going there because ima fatty and love...
Read moreI'll start by saying I love their bread when it is fresh. The thing is they always have yesterday's bread on stock it seems like. I feel that if you show up first thing in the morning there should be fresh offerings but that is not the case. It would be nice if they had a standard time when the fresh stuff came out.
