Cluttered, rather overpriced, and not a good vibe to be fair.
Browsing the selection is rather interesting, but make sure you Google the products you're looking at to make sure you don't get to scammed as certain selections of items are just resold bulk items off of Temu, Amazon etc.
A lot of neat items inside but the quality of some items are not worth the price no matter how antique they might be. Regulars seem to be the only individuals having a nice experience so if you are from out of town and are looking for a friendly personable experience, I wouldn't expect it.
After browsing the selection and traversing the whole store I noticed another review in which they responded about how it's all measured out right and blah blah blah, but I will say that in the stores I have worked it, the walkways need to be significantly wider to insure the safety of their products. If you need a mobility aid, then this place most definitely would be difficult to browse without causing an incident.
For the record, I come here once a year, its like this everytime. I was going to pick some stuff up today but I just wasn't liking the vibes, put my stuff back and just headed out and found out the items I was going to purchase were just cheap bulk trinkets you can find online.
Their dog is wonderful!...
Read moreThis store is overly crowded and you can barely walk through the aisles. That wouldn’t be so horrible if the owner wasn’t stalking you to make sure you didn’t break anything because he purposely makes the aisles un-walkable. I found a few things I liked (although overly priced) and was going to buy, however I put them down the second he tried to charge my brother for knocking something over. Because the aisles are so overcrowded, my brother knocked over a firetruck on a table, but did not damage the item. The owner claimed he damaged the table it was on, however there was far extensive damage than what a firetruck could have done. My brother nicely waited the few seconds for the owner to run over where he said “I saw everything on camera” and my brother said what can I do I feel so bad and the owner said “you can pay the $225 for the table.” The owner called us “classy” when we left without paying for the table he “damaged”. Avoid this store at all costs for the psycho owner. We should have read reviews...
Read moreIf you act like a jurk, you will probably get bad reviews. The guy not at all helpful, just sit in his chair doing nothing. Treated people like they where going to steal something. Asked him about a nice pair of silver candlesticks and he said they where $425. I asked can I see them.He paused for a minute and said are you going to buy them? I said I don't know till I see them . He finally got one out of the case and held it in front of my face. I again said I want to check it over. Finally he handed to me and stood leas than a foot from me. I asked him if he would take $400 and he said no and sat down. Didn't say another word. Very rude and unprofessional. No public bathroom also. If this guy is a example of the people of Petoskey, you better fire him, or he needs to find a new job. I been collecting sterling coins and other antique items for 50 years and have never felt so uncomfortable...
