Update: I rerated this all because at the front counter in the store, Becky Montena was phenomenal. She has excellent customer service under her belt and I appreciated her kindness whenever I came in, in the middle of the night to get my daughter formula. Thats the only reason that I changed my vote from 1 star to 3. She deserves 5 stars but I can't bring myself to do it considering the horrible experiences I keep having with the pharmacy. Whenever their services get better, you'll earn my 5 star rating. Sorry Becky. You really are great!
First post: I have given this location's pharmacy SPECIFICALLY multiple chances and tried to offer the benefit of the doubt, but I am beyond angry right now! The staff is usually friendly and will go above and beyond (I emphasize on USUALLY because some staff have no respect for their customers at all and are very rude), HOWEVER...
My last experience, they told me they had the medication I needed. I waited HOURS for them to let me know it was ready. I finally call to find out the hold up and they tell me they were out of the erythromycin and they wouldn't have it for however long, I can't recall. I ask them to transfer me to another location yet NO ONE had the meds and they avoided transferring me to a different pharmacy. By the way, I believe I called them multiple times because either the connection on their end was bad or the line got disconnected somehow but my service on my cell phone was pristine so it wasn't an issue on my end. I finally go up there because I was extremely upset and I wanted answers. Low and behold, they get a shipment in after I arrive... I was grateful and overjoyed... I get the medication, I get home, I open it to give my daughter her dosage, and it's just powder... I call them to tell them and they said the medication didn't get mixed before being sold to me... To which I had to go BACK to the pharmacy for them to mix it and return it to me. The whole situation was rediculous! Mind you, these medications are for my infant daughter with reflux. She can't take powers... she was only 6 months at the time.
Fast forward to today. I am beyond livid! I call this morning at a quarter after 9 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING and they told me that she thinks they don't have it but she had to double check... she comes back on the line and says they DO have it, but wanted to confirm one more time that they had the medications I needed. She comes back and says she made sure THREE TIMES they had it. Perfect! Q relief, right? Wrong! She said in an hour and a half, they would be ready for them to be picked up. They told me that they would text me whenever the medications were ready... Fast forward to this afternoon, it was roughly 4pm when we went for pickup after ordering AT 9:30AM. THAT'S OVER SIX HOURS LATER, no text, no call... silence. I send someone to get them for me because I assumed they were ready by now and not only were they out of the medication I needed again WHICH THEY SAID THIS MORNING THAT THEY HAD, but they shorted me FIFTY DOSES of the 2nd medication my daughter needs...
Read moreThis woman working the drive thru tried to tell me that they didn’t get prescriptions in until 2 hours after being sent from the Dr. Not 2 hours to be filled, but 2 hours for them to receive it! So, while I am in line, I call my Dr. Of course, she said that is not a thing. She told the woman working the drive thru at Walgreens to refresh her system, and it would be there. And, low and behold..magically it appeared. Then, they tell me it will be 10 mins to fill the prescription they tried to charge me for that is covered under my insurance. It of course has now been 15 mins, and they just keep walking past me.. let me tell you how very frustrated I am just trying to get my sick child’s medicine. I know 15 mins isn’t long to wait for a much needed medicine, and I would have been happy to just wait, but the unnecessary attitude was completely unwarranted (she literally threw the phone down so she couldn’t hear me speaking to her). But, the thing is, I sat in the drive thru for 45 mins (not just 15) for a prescription that was sent in over an hour before I had even arrived at Walgreens. It’s just absolutely outrageous. All I can say is do better. I get that people probably yell at the employees at the pharmacy, and they may have a lot on their plates, but the people behind the counter also need to understand that the person yelling is someone who is sick number one, and secondly has probably spent half their day, or more, at a hospital or Drs office. I didn’t even yell or get an attitude. I was patient because I know they go through it behind the counter. She just felt some type of way after she got called out for lying to me in the first place. Again, all I can say...

Franklin has returned to Walgreens as of last month and I could not be any happier. All employees should look to him as the model employee...I hope he will make manager at some point. He is always extremely friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and truly cares about the patient: this is whether you are in person or on the phone. Thanks Franklin for being you!!! I went to Walgreens on last week and totally forgot to do a review, but this one had to be done. The reason is because Franklin and Mia helped me. They were both professional, kind, and very helpful. Annnnddd the wait time was extremely minimal even with waiting for a prescription to be filled from my doctor’s office that was faxed in. Also had an opportunity to speak with Hope today about using a coupon code with my insurance for some eye medicine and she was phenomenal.
In the past, I swear ever since moving to Texas 2 years ago this must be the slowest Walgreens ever when it comes to filling a prescription. I pray that this outstanding experience is the start of many more to come. Thanks Walgreens!
Oh well it looks like I cannot add a new review so I am editing this one. So me and my husband went to Walgreens today 6/11 which also happens to be his birthday. We went to the drive-thru and there were 3 cars in front of us. WOW don't know if management has changed or what but Franklin helped us and we we done in less than 5 minutes. He was cordial, ensured we had everything we needed before leaving. Way to go Franklin...I'm impressed with your...
