Ordered the fried chicken sandwich to compare it to other chicken sandwiches. When I ordered it they asked if I wanted any sauce. I assumed that meant little containers of sauce and I said no thanks. When I got the chicken sandwich it had no mayo or any kind of condiment on the bun, just two flabby pickles. The only crunchy part of the chicken breast was just around the edges. Had OK seasoning but for $5, not a very good sandwich. Plain bun two pickle slices and a small chicken breast that had no crispness to bite into. This one ranks far below other competitive offerings. Will not be a return customer.
Update: The owner replied indicating that they don't put mayo or sauces on their sandwiches so guests "can make their own choices". When I'm on the go and pull into a drive thru, I don't want to have to unwrap my sandwich, take the sandwich apart, fumble around with opening sauce packs, then try to evenly spread them on the bun by trying to get all of the contents out of the packs, put my sandwich back together, arrange the wrapping so that it doesn't spill out on my clothes, and then continue on to eat my sandwich. That's what I'm paying a restaurant to do. It's a ridiculous premise for a "fast serve" chain to think someone ordering a sandwich wants to deal with this process in a car. Every other chain can do this simple task without any issues of food safety or excessive time to get an order out - what's Chick-fil-A's problem? On top of it all, a fried chicken sandwich is supposed to be crispy, and this one clearly wasn't, so for sure I won't be giving it a second try, even if the next time I got lucky and the chicken was actually crispy. I would without a doubt prefer to go to KFC or Popeye's, order a crispy chicken sandwich, unwrap enough of it to take a bite, and start enjoying my meal. To top it off, the Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich serving size is just 6.5 oz for $5, compared to Popeye's (8.6 oz for $4) and KFC's (10.3 oz for $4.70). All things considered, I won't be back to Chic-fil-A. Plus, if I want to make the effort, I can make my own crispy fried chicken sandwich at home which is way better than any fast serve fried chicken sandwich (and mine - photo below -with lettuce, tomato, dill mayo spread, special fry coating and low carb brioche bun is only six net carbs!).
To the owner: I'd be happy to drop off a hot, crispy low carb fried chicken sandwich for you to compare side by side. I understand you don't set the size or price and how your chicken sandwiches are prepared, but I still think my...
Read moreReally busy drive thru, with loads of people going through. The food was meh for my first time, but the service was extremely quick, friendly and efficient, so all my stars are for the staff.
When I said they were busy, I mean busy! One lane from the main road fed into two order lanes and they had several people directing the cars to stay tightly packed, which was a huge feat in and of itself. They quickly took my order and my name, then verified my order and then moved to my payment. I quickly moved forward and after a few moments the line merged back into one lane where another person verified me by name, assuring I was in the right place in line in case the merging of cars jumbled things up, as I could easily see happening if they weren't so good at their jobs.
I personally am not a huge fan of the food, but if you like that sort of thing, it's one of the better tasting options. Very good portion for a chicken sandwich at the price and it was very moist without feeling oily or greasy. The fries are criscut, and I would prefer mine to be more crispy, but that's just a personal preference. I like that they don't over salt them so you can add your own or leave them as is.
In the end it was a great experience from a customer service standpoint, and for a first time visitor like me they...
Read moreThe service at this location has declined dramatically over the past few months. At the Drive thru they have repeatedly given me the wrong order despite me saying it two or three times and then repeating back the same thing I've said. Not the complete order, just one or two things. The wrong drink, wrong size fries, sauce when I didn't ask for it, no sauce when I did. Mistakes that used to not happen. Dining in yields similar results to include me just not getting my beverage at all. Most Chick-fil-As will hand out the beverage at the counter when you place an order, but This one has taken up the practice of telling me to go sit down and they'll "bring it out with the food" which has not happened twice, and it would probably happen more if I dined in more frequently. Not to mention choosing a drive thru lane is like flipping a coin. I understand that some people just have long orders. But when I pull up to the speaker on the inside lane and then two cars on the outside lane get their orders placed and pull forward without anyone even asking for my name to get my order started that has nothing to do with people outside and everything to do with negligent customer service. I don't anticipate eating at this particular location any time in the...
