Tamarack Conference Center — Local services in Beckley

I have driven by so many times but usually outside of their business hours. I was so excited to be able to finally go inside this trip! It didn't disappoint, so many different types of things on display. Painting, photography, stained glass, woodwork, quilts, lotions, potions, salsa, blown glass, jewelry, ornaments, dishware and more! Beautifully displayed, prices clearly marked. What a wonderful way to showcase local artists. I wish every state had a Tamarack!

Oh, and there's also food available and indoor as well as outdoor seating.

We love this place! Travel through the area a couple times each year. We love to search for unique pieces to gift our family members and friends. We always plan our meal with the resident chef, a much better choice than fast food options along the hwy. Not only is the food prepared hot and fresh per your order, but the value and quality are a far better option. This trip, we enjoyed Chili-lime chicken tacos and hubby got local, grass fed burger. We loved them both. He ranked the burger among the top he's ever had. We look forward to experiencing the new...

Tamarack is a great stop with beautiful local art and crafts. As for the food—kind of hit or miss. The chicken salad was a miss for me; it tasted like unseasoned chicken. The egg salad was okay, nothing special. But the pot pie? Absolutely amazing. Full of flavor and worth the stop just for that!

Overall, still a fun and unique place to check out. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re driving through or spending time in Beckley. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for Appalachian art...
