Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Beckley

I know they just opened but I've been to newly opened Popeyes locations and the experience was vastly different. I've ordered from this location 3 times and all three times the orders were incorrect. Two out of three times the location did not have french fries. For me, this was not a big deal because I prefer their other offerings but literally every other person in line were hoping to get fries with their meals. The first time I ordered the person who took my order had to write spicy on a piece of paper to give to the people assembling the orders to designate that I wanted spicy chicken. I received non-spicy chicken. The second time I ordered I finally recieved spicy chicken but recieved white meat instead of the dark meat that I ordered. The third time I ordered I did not recieve biscuits because they were out but was still charged full price for my meal. Every time I've ordered the food portions were small with the exception of the chicken sandwich. For example, the drumtick I recieved was the same size as a wing and the tenders I ordered looked like breaded shoe strings. After going to another location I noticed the travel plaza prices are nearly double of what a normal Popeyes location charges. You cannot order from the mobile app at the travel plaza location which means you cannot take advantage of any deals a regular location might be running. I was very excited to finally have a Popeyes close to home but every experience there ends in disappointment. I’m have never been so disappointed. I love Popeyes chicken. Have had it many times. This is a problem with the location. One of the staff members tried to get us to order from her personal catering business said she could save us money. Took us away from the counter and tried to call someone I presumed a business partner but when she couldn’t get a hold of them she said I will give you a discount just wait here. I waited for 20 minutes and nothing as she went about her business behind the counter. I finally went up to the counter and she wouldn’t even make eye contact. So I place my order and waited. A different girl came to me and said they were waiting on something. I said we have been waiting for half an hour and told them what had happened. That girl apologize and through in 2 pies and a free drink. I was happy until I got back to the truck and found that my 12 piece combo that I was charged $60 for was a 9 piece. This location definitely needs training. Maybe even a quick counting lesson. Ripped off and will consider other options...

The two girls working on drive-through On April 14, 2025. One of the girls’s name was Alexxis and the other I didn’t get her name But she had dreadlocked hair and was very nice. They were both very professional and very courteous when I placed my order. The two made sure I had everything I needed, and were very adamant on the accuracy of my order.
