Worst experience that I’ve ever had at Ruby’s tonight. First, I hate hate to complain, but tonight really was ridiculous, and the manager at the Beckley, WV Ruby Tuesday should be ashamed.
First, my Ribeye was almost all grissle and basically no seasoning. It really was impossible to eat. It was about the same color as the cheap steaks they sold at the old Ponderosa. I shared my complaint with manager. He very nicely had another one prepared. The second ribeye was somewhat better but no prize.
About this time, my fiancé shows me a short, black hair in her turkey burger. So she then opens the burger to further investigate and finds a very long black hair. It honestly looked as if the burger had been dropped on the floor and then placed on a bun. At this point, my party of 4 was all weirded out and not hungry anymore. My fiancé complained to the manager. Get this.. after 2 pathetic ribeyes and a hairy turkey burger, we still had a bill. To add to things, the manager never even came over to address the hair that my fiancé reported.
Correct me if I’m wrong. When one dines out, he/she never have to worry about the quality of food he/she receives. I remind you that this wasn’t Taco Bell or macdonalds. Second, part of going out to eat is to relax and to have a good dining experience. It is my fiance’s Mother’s birthday, and I just wanted to have a good dinner. Ruby’s was horrible tonight. Management was horrible. The food was beyond horrible! I honestly will never’’’ go back there.
On a good note, we left ruby after PAYING OUR BILL for HORRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD, and went to Cheddars. I ordered an absolutely epic ribeye and had great service. It’s sad that I paid twice to eat just once.
If you eat at the Beckley Ruby Tuesday, do yourself a favor and thoroughly examine your food. I swear on my grave that all the...
Read moreWe are not regular diners here. Usually about every 6 months or so. Now I know why. One of the cool aspects about using Google is it knows stuff. We arrived at 7:21. (Thank You Google) Ordered drinks at 7:30. Ordered food at 7:35. Received food at 8:00. We both added the salad bar to our discounted entrees. My wife ordered the Smokehouse burger and I ordered the chicken tacos. Both meals at $8.99 + $5.99 added for the bar. (We had a digital code for the entrees.) The salad bar was ok but everything tasted like it needed something more. Like seasoning or just something to make it taste better. The coleslaw was the most noticeable. Just kind of bland. Our meals come and while her burger was actually better than my tacos the fries tasted like yesterday’s oil was used for cooking them. Service was the same way. Just kind of bland. We asked for extra napkins that we never received. So, let’s talk about atmosphere. Somehow we will always end up seated by a speaker. It’s always loud and we feel like we have to shout to each other to engage in any conversation. Not fun at all. I try to be an observant person and just watch the staff. Most of the staff acts like they don’t really want to be there. It’s hard to leave a positive review when all this is going on. I have to ask myself if I’m being too hard on the staff. Attitude is everything. We could see our waitress sitting at the end of the bar engaged in conversation with coworkers and not working on our bill. We just wanted to leave and that was difficult as well. They need to up the game to get the good review. It’s...
Read moreIt's been a long time since I've been to Ruby Tuesday's, but was looking forward to a good meal and the friendly atmosphere I remembered. Upon entrance, we were asked if we minded a little sunshine. I replied no and we were seated at a table that was cornered with windows on both sides, with one blind missing from the window. There were several empty tables away from the window but I figured they were just trying to be fair with the serbers in seating arrangements. It was a little bright but the sky had a slight over cast, so I figured we would be okay. Within minutes the clouds were gone and the sun was glaring making it impossible to read the menus. When asked to be moved there was hesitation as the other tables were starting to fill up. After being moved, we ordered. Our food took so long we had drink refills before our food even came out. When the food did arrive it had sat in the window long enough to dry out my mashed potatoes to the point of an unrecognizable pile of paste. I would have probably been more upset, however the taste was worse than the look. My son's grapes had several rotten. They did enjoy the little pizzas from the kids menus. However, my daughter macaroni had dried to the bowl and was basically rubber noodles. I wish I could say we had a better experience, however the only thing pleasant about the meal was the server. She was too sweet to make her day difficult so I paid and left. Ruby Tuesday's just won't be on our list of stops...
