I’ve been going to Zuri for about a year and usually see a specific nail tech whose work I really like. I always book with her in advance, but during my most recent visit, she wasn’t available, even though I had called ahead to book her and they confirmed she was available. (She was not available).
My nails have always lasted well in the past and I genuinely love the quality when I’m with my usual tech. However, the last couple of times I’ve been seen by different techs, and unfortunately, the quality hasn’t been the same.
Last month, I got a builder gel set that started lifting after just two weeks. I typically come in every six weeks, but this time I returned after four weeks because of the lifting. I had already begun soaking and filing them at home, but decided to have them properly soaked off at the salon. I specifically asked for a soak off, but the tech started filing them instead.
She also didn’t ask me what nail shape I wanted. When I mentioned I wanted round nails, she said she didn’t understand what I meant and still gave me square nails. My nails ended up over-filed, fragile, and not at all the shape I asked for.
It felt like because I didn’t want a full new set or “fill” this time and it was just a manicure the service was rushed. I just wanted to give my nails a break, but the experience was disappointing.
I’ve had great experiences here in the past, but the inconsistency when seeing different techs has made me reconsider...
Read moreI'm disappointed to leave a negative review because I had high hopes for this place, and I really thought it would be my go-to for nail services. This was my third or fourth visit, and up until today, I had positive experiences for the most part. Tuh needs to work on her attitude if she wants to keep clients. While the staff generally does a decent job with nail designs, I noticed Tuh can be unprofessional at times— displaying unpleasant attitudes and passive aggressive behavior. It’s a shame because the quality of the work is better than your average nail shop (most times- depending on who does your nails), but the overall experience leaves more to be desired. You can tell when people are passionate about doing nails and when people just do it to make a living.
The lady who ended up doing my nails, may not be able to see as well and fault to her but she missed a lot of the sides and I had smudges from the clear coat not being blended properly on the sides. I...
Read moreI started off with a pretty good experience, but it quickly went down hill. Firstly, it cost me five dollars for my cuticles to be cared for (which was the lady just cutting them quickly). I talk with the girl doing my nails, but towards the end she just gets up and leaves. She goes to work on someone else’s nails for the remainder of the time I am there. A different lady comes over and rushes the end of my manicure. She just drizzles oil on my fingers and tells me I’m done and it’s time to pay. I felt like my business wasn’t very appreciated. I spent 94 dollars in total (74 for the nails and 20 for tip, which was very generous considering the rushed experience.) I was happy with the look of my nails for the total of two days. They started peeling after the second day that i had them done. I wasn’t doing any strenuous activity. I was really disappointed in my experience. I was excited to try a new place with some pretty good reviews, so Im hoping this was a...
