Complaint Detail / Problem Complaint Type: Product Issues
On December 11, 2016 Craft Pools started construction on a driveway and patio replacement at our home. The 3rd section nearest the street of the driveway has a crack that extends from one side to the other side of the driveway. I have contacted David Craft-, owner of Craft Pools about replacing this segment. He has said twice he will send someone to check the problem. No one has shown up. I don't feel anyone will show up because of prior experience with him agreeing to send someone for a repair.. The prior experience involved 3 tiles that sank when it rained. We contacted him from January, 2017- March,2017. My wife finally texted him and asked what product to use from Home Depot. He responded with polymerised sand. She purchased and used the product 3 separate times because the tiles continued to sink and sand collected in the filter with heavy rain. After Hurricane Harvey, my wife contacted a different pool company we currently use because the tiles continued to sink. They recommended a private repairman. When the repairman arrived, he showed my wife where Pool Craft had done a lousy patch in the skimmer that was causing the problem. He said the repair would be $900. My wife texted David Craft- to see if he would be honorable and pay for this cost. He never responded. He also had never informed us his workers had cracked the skimmer and patched the crack. When I spoke with him on the phone regarding the driveway, I told him we had paid for the repair of $900 . Additionally I reminded him of a cost of $1,000 over the contract price, I had paid him because he misestimated an area of concrete on the side of the garage. He had been given a copy of the survey of our home and property, plus he measured the area himself. Finally, we included the price of a fence and gate in the final contract for $625. The worker came to us because David Craft- wouldn't pay him. We ended up paying the worker the $625 because he was at our home with his young son.

Read moreI contracted Poolcraft to build a simple rectangular pool and things started well at the beginning but midway and latter part of the construction is when things started going bad , excuses upon excuses for not being timely , equipment failures that take forever to fix , pool leak that took at least two and a half months to fix , no training on equipment, almost no communication from owner ( David ) , always pushing to be paid before finishing the last phase and in the end , total abandonment, zero communication although some pool equipment still not functioning ( heater ) . Stay away from...
