It was my first time at FineTouch Nails, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to the rudeness we encountered from the staff (with the exception of the manager, who tried to explain things). We called at 4:54 PM to book a pedicure and were given a 5:15 PM appointment. We made it for 5:17PM. Google say they close at 6PM.
As I was crossing the street toward the salon, a lady who turned out to be the receptionist or a customer asked if I was heading in. She asked a few questions and then sent me upstairs. My friend was still at the ATM getting cash and joined me shortly after.
Once we were seated, they began by cutting our nails and then placed our feet in cold water, which was quite uncomfortable. My friend asked if our toes would be buffed and cleaned, only to be told that they don't offer that service with pedicure, something we found quite surprising.
Just five minutes into our session, the receptionist came to ask for payment. My friend expressed that he wasn’t ready to pay since the service had barely started and wasn’t meeting expectations. The receptionist became defensive and rudely explained their unusual approach to pedicures. My friend simply requested to wait until halfway through the session before paying, but the rudeness continued. They refused to proceed without upfront payment, and ultimately, just cleaned his feet before ending the session.
I got my nails trimmed, shaped, lightly buffed, cuticles lightly removed and regularly white polish for $30. No exfoliation, no foot massage, no moisturization, or whatever special treatments they offered.
It was clear they were rushing to close and made us feel like they were doing us a "favor," which was incredibly frustrating for something so personal. In the future, I hope the staff can be more patient and empathetic, especially when time is tight. A little kindness and understanding...
Read moreThis is my second acrylic pedicure here. My first one Dee did the pedicure and it was great, for one day. I flew to London the day after the medicine two of the nails came off. This should never happen and certainly not the day after the service. So I made another appointment, I told them about the previous issue - nails not adhering and they just shrugged. Amazing customer service skills. So yesterday I show up for my appointment, I had called to make. I arrived. And said I have an appointment - they asked my name, then what I was having done. Ma’am don’t you make client notes? I get in the pedicure chair and the lady who did my nails Helen was nice, at first. Nothing about my pedicure is good, Helen finally just walked away and someone else finished the pedicure. I’ve been a Licence cosmetologist for 35 years. This level of service when you are charging $100 is completely unacceptable. I’m not certain the autoclave the instruments, they said they do but the arrows on the packaging had not changed color indicating it was just shoved in the package and not actually cleaned. This is not an easy industry, and it is customer satisfied driven. If you are not up for the task don’t take on the job. I provided two pictures, one you can see the acrylic is easily twice as thick as it should be, I repeatedly asked her to thin it and the other shows how crooked the nails are. What really makes me angry is I perform this service and o could have done my own nails. I wanted to treat myself. What a...
