Hello on August 29,2022 I went to Macy’s store at 400 Bellevue Square, Bellevue WA 98004. I request polish and cleaning for my wedding ring set. I've got receipt that work will be done in 4-5 weeks. But I waited longer, on October 17, 2022 I went to Macy's to ask about my ring because no one called me. Store associate told me without looking at computer that he has no idea where my ring could be and that he is wondering why no one called me. I've been told to come back later same week to check. I came back on October 22, 2022 with my husband and my 7months old daughter to get my ring back. Store associate grab my receipt and by looking at computer they told me that ring was back on September 13,2022 and they wondering why no one called back. They started looking for ring and they could not find it. Then they came back to us gave me receipt and told me to come back later they have no idea where my ring is. I told them that this is not going to work with me and I need my ring today! They started unpacking new packages with jewelry and looking around for my ring, 15 min later they came back to me saying that they remembered ring was not in the box on Sep 13,2022. I ask them if they document that and they tried to call and find my ring, they told me no. So, I assume it's all lie. They called manager, she looked around and told she has no idea where ring could be.... We got frustrated, after whole hour they didn't knew what to tell us. Then they went on other side of jewelry counter and chat between each other for about 10 min. Later finally came back saying that they will find my ring and Marie Supervisor coming back on Monday and will call you before noon, also saying that they can ship ring to my home as a gift (and it doesn’t matter Macy’s doing it on regular basis already, right?) so I don't have to drive back to mall to pick up my ring. Monday Oct 24, 2022 around 1pm me and my husband trying to reach out jewelry department and Marie to find out anything about my ring. we been on phone for couple hours before they answered. I introduced myself and asked why no one called me and if they have any information about my lost ring. They told me that they 1st time hearing this story and they apologize and will call me back with news. Hour later no call back. I called again same story, they tried to act they don’t know anything. Lady was doing same thing asking my name, phone and what happened. After a minute she told me that they will call me back, but I said “No! I need this problem to be solve right now, stop lying to me!” She put a phone on hold but forgot to turn it on mute, Marie told another associate to let me know that she is driving a car and can't answer me anything. Also, I've been told that it's better to come and have conversation in person. I called my husband and told that we better to go there. My husband dropped his work at Seattle and driven to Bellevue Square Macy's. Mary, the supervisor on the floor that day, Mon, Oct 24, 2022 (16.50pm) told him the ring is lost and there are only 2 options – get a full refund or get exact same ring as a replacement for the lost one. They told that somewhere in another Macy’s store (Mary didn’t told him which one) there is exact same ring with a band, but they are not sure because Mary spent whole day (as she told him) to contact that store but unfortunately no one responded. So, she took our phone numbers and email addresses and told us she will write an email immediately to that store and once they reply she will notify us by phone and email as well. Regarding refund she told him Macy’s can make a full refund only and it doesn’t matter that the gold itself went up in price for last couple years. I can’t buy the same or similar ring for the refund amount. Prices and inflation risen, and full refund amount is nothing today! And we even do not say about our frustration, spent time, gasoline and etc. to figure out what happened to the wedding ring. It, actually, looks like a robbery because the ring was lost or maybe event stolen by someone, and all Macy’s can...

Read moreI've been shopping at Macy's since it was known as the Bon Marche in Seattle.
Macy's used to have a feeling of quality and luxury similar to Nordstrom's. At my last visit I very thoroughly went through each boutique throughout the women's floor examining the following sections: miss, petite, plus, dresses, women's wear, lingerie and sales. I honestly could not find one thing I wanted to buy despite needing items throughout all of these categories.
Things that I was looking for but couldn't find: A long silk nightgown, knee high socks, cute short sleeve day dresses in bright colors like red, yellow or white, geometric prints, dressy casual blouses in pretty colors like bright green or pink, tailored skirts above the knee or short. Non polyester blouses. (Everything noted above was either non-existent or out of stock).
Macy's should redesign the women's clothing in the following categories/boutiques:
Traditional and Classics, to include tailored clothing, quality broad cloth shirts, Eileen Fisher, Vince and clothing designed for formal social and business functions. This should include classic and vintage inspired looks from the 30s to present that includes touches like brooches, beautiful scarves, hats, gloves and other accessories.
Creative: to include clothing that is fun and pleasurable to wear for personal non-work and non-social events like Anthropologie, with staples like: white cotton denim, flowy cotton tunic blouses, the perfect yellow or red sundress, patterned silk wrap around or pleated skirts, bright and modern day dresses like Modcloth, pants in bright colors like red, yellow, white, jumpers, and resort wear.
Seasonal Finds: winter cashmere sweaters, multicolored corduroy, multicolored denim, springtime day and active wear dresses in season specific fabrics for example woolen jersey in winter and linen cotton in summer, skirts, luxury pajamas and loungewear, comfortable clothes for working from home.
Seasonal coats: pop of color overcoats for winter, pop of color lightweight rain jackets for spring, various styles of lightweight jackets for autumn: to include dark colored denim, casual leather jackets, Patagonia and other technical outerwear, and classic styles like perfect trench coats.
American sportswear: such as American classics like Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. Including casual trendy stuff like matching hoodie sweats in bright rainbow colored tie dyes and other fun street wear colors.
The lingerie section should be redesigned so that featured designers/brands have their own section so that if you know you like items by certain brand you can just get everything in that section bras, underwear, robes etc. There needs to be a better section for leg wear and hosiery.
They're also needs to be more diverse designs for sleepwear. The usual styles will be limited to the following: super sexy, comfy and grandma's farm wife cotton ankle length nightgown. There needs to be more choices like what a normal urban woman would want to wear at home.
Women's junior, petite and plus should be represented throughout each boutique and not sequestered in its own section....
