This review is long sorry but unfortunately this needs to be told tge way it happened. Presidents day 2020 I purchased a 5000.00+ sofa and separate loveseat theater set. I'm going to split this into two events.
1st I'll comment on the sofa. The day of delivery the sofa electronics didn't work. The delivery guy said he'd set ip for their warehouse technician to come out next week. If this happens to me in the future I'd tell the delivery guy to take the sofa back and replace it with a brand new one that works. I didn't in this situation. Their warehouse tech came the next week and told me he had to order parts to fix couch. Lol. I haven't even sat on it and they are informing me it needs to be fixed. Ugh. At first I said ok but after talking to co workers I told them no sent me a new one. After they contacted Flexsteel they agreed to replace it. Can you believe that I had to get it okd. It took about a month to get the replacement. In the mean time while sofa was at my house I happen to notice the loveseat had new furniture tags but the sofa did not...hmmm. While looking at where the tags were supposed to be I noticed a 1" gouge in the back of the couch that had a furniture pen used to cover up gouge. The couch finally got replaced.
Now number 2, the love seat. After a few months of sitting on the seats one side I started feeling my buttock was sinking in one of the seats. I reluctantly called Thomasville and reported this after the sofa fiasco but I called. They sent their warehouse technician out. The tech spent only 5 minutes looking at the seat. He couldn't find a problem. He said he thinks he felt it but said it was normal if somebody sits in one seat all the time. I mentioned to him...what? I've had it for 6ish months and I don't sit in one seat all the time. So I didn't know where to turn. I called Flexsteel and asked them what my options were. I told them I didn't trust Thomasville. They used another warranty company. They set up a local company to come out and look at it. This guy took at least 20-30 minutes looking at the seat. At first he had a hard time finding anything but eventually found a broken part. It took almost a year to get the part because of Covid but it finally got here and the 2nd technician came back out and fixed the seat. Works great now. Thank goodness.
When I bring this situation up to people their like "What? I thought Thomasville is a good company "...well not in the above experience.
Communication with the warehouse was poor. The manager had multiple times where she was supposed to follow-up with me and didn't. I had to get corporate/sales to remind her on a few occasions.
Oh well the things to get out of this....do not accept brand new furniture that doesn't work on delivery.
When I purchased this it was Urban...
Read moreThere is an older, gray haired sales associate who was extremely rude and unprofessional. If you are thinking of purchasing furniture from here, make sure not to go through her. My husband and I were looking for a living room couch and it was the first time in this store location. She asked if we needed help looking for anything and we let her know that we were just looking for now as we had been to two other furniture stores in Bellevue to narrow down our options. Less than five minutes later she followed us to the back of the store where we were trying out two lounge chairs where we were deciding if they would look better in our living room than a love seat. The employee came up to us stating, “unfortunately, this isn’t a lounge guys.” We were appalled by her reaction and walked out. It was extremely presumptuous of her to assume we were “lounging” and made it seem as if she did not want our business. I have never felt so discriminated against as it felt like she thought our business wasn’t worth her time. In going back and looking at other google reviews for this location, it makes me wish I had read them before we went to look at thomasville as it seems the theme in this location are rude and unprofessional...
