This place is a joke. I ordered half a steak hoagie to go. I went in paid them. My total was $10.69. My stomach wasn’t feeling well and had to use the restroom. I asked if I could use the restroom, I was told no. (I guess I didn’t meet a certain threshold of spending to have the privilege of using their restroom.) I was told you have to spend $12.99 (the price of their cheapest pizza which is only 7”) here to use the bathroom which is one of the most asinine things I’ve ever head of. I had to drive 5 minutes out of my way to use wing stops bathroom. Completely unbelievable that a customer would be treated this way. And $9.99 for a half hoagie is definitely on the high end. It wasn’t the worst hoagie I’ve had, but I’d give the hoagie a 5/10 personally. If they’re gonna deny a customer to use a restroom over $1.30, if they have that little compassion and concern for their customers imagine their care of the food they’re serving you. It was also dead at 2 in the afternoon when I went in which was a red flag as well. You can get a much better hoagie cheaper within a 10 minute radius, and if you’re gonna support small business, support ones who have their customers and communities back, not these guys. I wouldn’t eat here if they were giving pizzas...
Read moreUpdate (9/29/18): Well, now I can bring myself to knock off stars. I decided to keep ordering from Ephesus despite them taking my favorite items off the menu, because the basic components of the pizza still tasted good.
Tonight, however, I ordered and the pizza dough was totally different, and horrible... it was tough, flat, bland, reminiscent of cardboard... nothing like their previous dough. Terrible!!! My first thought was that they must have run out of ingredients and bought the pizza from a crappy place and then delivered it to us. My second thought was that they are getting cheap & going downhill fast. I won't order from them again because I hate thowing away food (and money).
The only reason I give Ephesus 2 stars instead of 1 star is for the good memories, and courteous delivery people.
Original review (5 stars): Well, this has been my go-to place for pizza in Bellevue for years, but now all my favorites are off the menu (such as the spiced chicken pizza, Ratatouille pizza, salad with Turkish dressing...). I can't bring myself to knock off a star, as I have been such a fan over the years, but I am hungry for those...
Read moreGood pizza but they overcharge every time. Its one price when you order, but the paper reciept says more when the food is delivered. for example the pre tip total with delivery and tax should be 24.50, but you get charged 31.50. Its easy to miss if you order in a group. They're essentially stealing a few dollars from every delivery customer.
(Edited bellow to respond to Ephesus comment) Yes, you do overcharge. I have never used a delivery app, I call directly. Ive been ordering pizzas from you years and have consistently had small price issues with your shop. The same order will be a different price when different customers order, and sometimes a different price for the same order to the same address in the same week. lately it seems to be getting worse. I saved the reciept of my last order and it was nearly $10 over the menu price quoted when I ordered. Either employees are padding the bills or Ephesus is doing it as a...
