I’m working on something big for the city of Cerritos and Artesia.

Poultry farm step by step instructions

Growing a large poultry farm starting with 20 chicks can be a challenging but rewarding process. Here are some steps you can take to help grow your farm:

Start with quality chicks - Purchase healthy chicks of a breed that is suitable for your goals and region. Consider the growth rate, egg production, and disease resistance of each breed.

Provide proper housing and space - Build or purchase a coop that is spacious enough to accommodate the chicks as they grow. Ensure that the coop is well-ventilated, has enough light, and is predator-proof.

Provide proper nutrition and care - Feed the chicks a balanced diet that is appropriate for their age and breed. Provide clean water and ensure they have access to food and water at all times. Regularly clean the coop to maintain good hygiene and prevent disease.

Monitor the growth and health of the chicks - Regularly weigh and track the growth of the chicks to ensure they are growing properly. Watch for signs of illness and seek veterinary care if necessary.

Expand your flock gradually - Once your initial flock has matured, consider purchasing additional chicks or breeding your own. Gradually expand your flock as your resources and capacity allow.

Market your products - Once your flock is producing eggs or meat, consider marketing your products to local markets, restaurants, or individuals. Establish a brand and use social media to promote your products.

Continuously improve - Continuously learn and improve your farming practices to ensure the health and growth of your flock. Attend workshops and conferences, network with other farmers, and keep up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

With patience, dedication, and hard work, it is possible to grow a large and successful poultry farm starting with...

Iv been going there for since the 80s ..and they were the only feed store close to my house without going alot farther to Whittier or El monte.. Went there for scratch for my hen wanted to see a nesting box since she a has started laying eggs . The nesting boxes were too expensive for my budget 43$..the people were not friendly .I asked what brand of scratch and they wouldn't tell me ..I told them my hen won't eat a certain brand ..then they told me and i said id try it ..i had an employee followed me though out the store watching me ..I seen an empty cardboard box asked if I could have it.i figured they were gona throw it away any way ... the cashier said yes I also picked up some nesting material and paid for it and took the box and was going out to my car and the man came running out to my car wanting the box back and said I couldn't have it after all ..it was very awkward .it made me feel uncomfortable .if they wanted it ..why did they let me take it in the 1st place ..and treat me like a thief or something thier prices are alot higher than the other feed store .I'm going to out of my way to go to now . .but its a shame they lost my buiseness over a cardboard box they probably just threw away anyway I had spent aboutb100$ there over all but because of this incident I WONT BE BACK TO BLACKSMITHS CORNER ..I WILL GO OUT MY WAY TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FROM NOW ON ..I DIDNT LIKE THIS INTERACTION ..AND...

We stopped by BlackSmith’s Corner on Sunday to grab two big bags of chicken feed for a professor friend. This place isn’t just about feed, they’ve got rabbits up for adoption, birds for sale, baby chicks (sold in pairs), and even adult chickens. If you don’t need a whole bag of feed, you can buy a small portion right here and have some fun feeding chickens on the spot. Prices are reasonable, and the staff were super friendly. They’ll happily walk you through the products and help you pick what’s best. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. The business hours are 9 am to 6 pm, 7 days a week.

Awesome place to visit and stock up in all your farm animal needs. They are very well stock up in all kinds of grains, vitamins, treats and housing for all your pet needs. They carry live chicks of different species, quails, ducks. They were very helpful when we decided to start of our chicken coop. They were very inform and never try to push us into buying something we didn't need. Every time we go in there, they welcome us with a smile. All the staff is very friendly and we'll inform.
