I went to Cynthia to get 2 dresses altered for my brother’s wedding. She was very nice and convinced me I was in good hands. When I picked up my dresses and briefly tried them on, everything looked fine. She made it a point to tell me how hard she and her staff worked on the dresses, to take off beading and make adjustments and re-attach beading, it honestly made me feel bad, if anything (the cost for alterations for both was a total of $315). The one dress ended up being okay for the wedding, however the other had sequins completely unravel. I was mortified at my brother’s wedding because wherever I went, sequins and thread followed me. It was so bad that someone tried to sew me up, and they had to vacuum the cocktail hour room after family photos because my dress covered the floor in sequins. I was humiliated. My dress is ruined- it’s missing gaps of sequins (it was a $500 dress by the way). I emailed Cynthia about this, requesting a refund, and my dress be repaired. Cynthia again, told me how hard she and her staff worked to adjust and hem my dress, and offered to repair my dress, but not refund me. She continued to say how things can happen to a dress like mine due to the sequins and that’s why she wants customers to make sure they are happy before they pay. To note, when I picked up my dress I do not recall signing a contract saying that her business does not give refunds, nor do I recall being told that she gives no refunds. If I had known she didn’t give out refunds, I would have walked around the boutique more (though limited space) and would have analyzed the dress myself. After Cynthia refused to give me a refund I thanked her for her services and said I would leave a review. Cynthia then requested to talk on the phone, however I had nothing else to say and did not want to hear her paragraphs of well worded excuses anymore. I paid for my dress to be altered for my brother’s wedding and Cynthia didn’t do her job well and it fell apart, period. I felt I was blamed for not ensuring I was 10000% satisfied before I paid. The event is over, I was humiliated, I should have gotten a refund. Repairing it now, with no refund will not change anything. I paid for a service and she did not fulfill her end. I want to start by stating that I rarely write reviews and although I struggled to write this one, I feel that I need to share my situation with this business. I went to this business to get a custom wedding dress made. During my initial consultation I made the owner aware of what I was looking for, I picked out my fabric, and made her aware of when I needed the dress. The owner asked me to sign a contract which I did and she stated she would order the materials and email a copy of the contract which never happened. The owner has canceled my appointments on multiple occasions last minute. The owner waited to cut into the fabric in July and my wedding was in September. I was finally able to pick my dress up six days prior to my wedding which was nerve wrecking. The owner never put a stop on the zipper so I had to be sewn in my wedding gown because the zipper zipped right off the track. I made the owner aware of this and told her I want some money back for all the inconvenience. I trusted the owner, took time off from work to make my appointments that she did not cancel, and was more than patient and fair. The owner set me up on auto pay so she never had to wonder about her money I made sure my payments were on time and do not feel I was treated fairly. The owner stated she would send me a letter of some sort twice and never did, nor did she give me any money back. She stated she would resolve this and all she did...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cynthia and her incredible talent. From the moment I walked into her atelier, she treated me with such warmth, patience, and genuine care. I brought her a dress that needed transformation for my daughter’s wedding, and what she created was nothing short of magic.

Cynthia has an extraordinary eye for detail and a gift for understanding exactly what will make a garment not only beautiful but also flattering and comfortable. She listened closely to my hopes and concerns, and then went above and beyond to bring them to life. Every stitch, every adjustment, every thoughtful touch reflected her artistry and dedication.

On the day of my daughter’s wedding, I felt elegant, confident, and completely myself — and that is all thanks to Cynthia’s vision and skill. She didn’t just alter a dress; she gave me a gown that carried me through one of the most important days of my life with grace and joy.
