After some research into who we might engage to update and upgrade our home audio/video center we chose HSS. Our decision was made partly because we were looking for a vendor that was small and who had the principals also doing the line work. HSS fit the bill as Lawrence and Jeff were it. We had a whole wall of A/V equipment completely changed both in terms of the appearance of the wall itself as well as having some new equipment installed. This involved basic construction which Lawrence and Jeff designed and supervised and new cabinetry at the base of the wall which was also designed by HSS in collaboration with the cabinet maker. While they worked on the A/V project they also upgraded our home wi-fi network making it more powerful and more flexible. This needed to be done so that we could have our A/V system accesses the internet as well as utilizing our Apple TV and installing a SONOS music system. The project turned out beautifully and more than met our expectations. Lawrence and Jeff are extremely competent, very reliable, tidy, pleasant, and constantly available when we felt we needed them. In short, they were a joy to work with which is always a bit of a craps shoot when working with a new contractor. Additionally, they continue to remain available long after the project was finished. We now consider them professional “friends”.

I own Novicky's Farm, a vegetable farm in Central Oregon growing tomatoes for our local restaurants. I recently had Lawrence, Brendan and Robert of Home System Solutions out to take my operation to a new level. I wanted to have all the capabilities to remotely monitor my greenhouses if I'm out of town and appreciate music outside while playing in the dirt. I initially had Lawrence out to go over all the options and he helped streamline the details so they made sense. When it was go time, the HSS team was on point, professional and very tidy! They went over all the features and benefits of the layout so when they left, I was capable of taking care of things on my own. The final product was unbelievable...Novicky's Farm is set up with WIFI throughout, security cameras placed on the property and most importantly, my vegetables are thriving because they are listening to the crisp beats of Steel Pulse and other reggae legends on the outdoor speaker system. Additionally, if the temperatures in my greenhouses goes below or above a certain degree, I get a notification on my phone and I can monitor the sage rats trying to eat my tomato plants. Several years ago, HSS replaced our existing system and this year, we had major upgrades done that involved replacing equipment and adding a new audio zone. It was our first experience working with Austin, who was patient with all our questions and handled everything with great kindness and a sense of humor. The install team included Robert, Ray, Jason and Ryan – all of whom were amazing. The group was respectful of us and our space, and they went to great lengths to do their work in a safe, professional and efficient way. Whenever we had questions about what was being done or what the charges included, Austin always took the time to call, email or come by in person to make sure all our concerns were addressed and we were completely happy with everything.
