Deceptively nice manager, terrible desserts. The other night I went through the drive through with 2 friends of mine, so we ordered 3 blasts. The person on the intercom said our total would be $18.47 and then turned off the intercom. They didn't even say "See you at the widow" or "Will that be all?" after sitting at the intercom thing for a solid 30 seconds, I put the car in reverse and then pulled back up to the intercom only to get a different employee. I asked if we could put whipped cream on the 3 blasts we had just ordered and they were confused as to why someone would want 3 whipped creams. Finally they understood that we had just ordered the blasts separately, and offered the whipped cream. However, because the whipped cream for 3 blasts was a near $2 extra... We ended up opting out and stuck with regular old blasts.
Upon receiving the 3 blasts, for over $18 mind you, they had next to no toppings in them. We ordered Reeces and got vanilla ice cream with 1 spoonful of Reeces chunks on top.
Considering we had just spent almost $20 on some ice cream, we were going to get what we paid for. So we went back through the drive through and explained the situation. The person on the intercom told us that it was impossible for the blasts to have no toppings as he had watched them put in the toppings themself. I kindly told him that we still had the receipt and he was welcome to come see for himself whether there was any toppings. He again told us that they definitely had toppings and he watched them mix them in. I again explained that he was welcome to come look as he did not believe me.
At this point the person on the intercom is done trying to deal with me and ends up sending the manager out. Out comes the manager and sure enough... The manager agrees there are no toppings, and is very kind and apologetic too. He then explains that they have a new guy working there and he is 16, and doesn't quite know what he is doing yet. Then the manager walks away. He didn't offer to add toppings or give us a partial refund or any of that stuff. He basically said 'Sure enough, no toppings! It's because of the new guy' the end.
Little does he know that the person ahead of me at the window is my friend. According to my friend, the manager walked back into Sonic and said "and just like that, they're gone! " - triumphantly I might add.
Moral of the story... Sonic is too expensive for that it is, disrespectful when they mess up, unwilling to fix their mistakes... And the customers are clearly at the bottom of the list as far as...
Read moreWhile the food has been okay I have yet to get a decently made drink out of either Bend locations and that was before the one by Walmart had gone. I am over 40 and have gone to Sonic since I was a little girl. I know what a cherry limeade should taste like, and how many slices of lime should be in each size. Consistently I have received cherry limeades that do not taste anywhere like a cherry limeade. I generally order a route 44 for size so that I may share with my children. Now taken mind I’ve had friends work for sonic as we were teenagers and things may have changed on policies. Generally for that size it was policy of at least half a lime for that size. Consistently I get one or two slices that equals out to a quarter at the most of a lime. They do not squeeze the limes, I end up having to do that myself; and a good portion of the time I do not have a cherry in the drink. The cherry flavouring is so thin you might as well have given me just sprite. I haven’t complained until today because I’ve just gotten use to the poor quality of training that goes on. However I change something today and I ordered a hot fudge shake thinking well at least this should be better. Your training is so bad I might as well have actually ordered a vanilla shake because that’s pretty much what I’ve got. I don’t know about you guys but this does not look like hot fudge...
Read moreThe system for pick up for food delivery apps is majority flawed. Yea come walk inside so you can be blatantly ignored by the employees (including management) for 8-10 min who are super rude and constantly reach behind and around you with out even the commen courtesy of an excuse me. I'm really a patient person over all and it doesn't take much effort for customer service to make me happy. You know, something along the lines of eye contact and we'll be with you when we can, you dont even have to say hi if it's too much to ask, I'm ok with that. Inside of the store has also been beyond filthy every time I've walked in, and they cook your food in that trash pit?!!? I'll never make the mistake of getting food for myself from this location. Also it's extremely unprofessional for employees to be cussing in English and spanish with customers in the store. I get your frustrated with your job but there is a level of class that should be maintained while in a work environment. Normally I wouldn't post all this but this is not the first nor even the third time with the identical experience. At least the manager wasn't just chillin on a phone...
