So, I hit up Max's Tacos next to the Empire Carwash on Empire Ave in NE Bend because I needed some breakfast burrito action in my life. I went for the asada breakfast burrito, and it was insanely good – like, "best I've had in Bend" good. Sure, it was a bit greasy, but sometimes you just need to embrace the mess.
The staff? Super friendly. I felt like they were my new best friends by the time I left. And the price? Only $8 for this magical creation. Talk about bang for your buck. Read moreI stopped by Max Tacos and tried four tacos — birria queso, asada, lengua, and pastor — and every single one was fantastic. The flavors were rich and authentic, the meat was tender, and the birria queso was especially memorable. You can really tell this is a family-run business — everyone was friendly, welcoming, and proud of what they serve. The sauce was incredible, the kind that ties everything together perfectly.
Highly recommend Max Tacos if you’re looking for fresh, flavorful tacos...
