I recently moved to the area. I have been to this location twice and both times I had the same experience, starts off great…staff is very personable, only to find out at the end the services you explicitly requested were either not given or additional services were added. I recently had to take my dog in to this location due to her 1st seizure. I emailed them her vaccine records from the previous vet, told the technician if she is ok to get vaccines, she only needs one core vaccines: leptospirosis and then to update all of her lifestyle vaccines, and then reiterated the same information to the veterinarian. The vaccine records shows exactly what I told them. This was NOT communicated clearly and my dog was administered the full DHPP, when she was NOT due for it for another year. When this was brought up to Devin’s attention, his response “oh they said she needed it” and I told him that’s not what I requested and his last response was “well, it’s all mixed together, I can just give you a refund”. First off, leptospirosis vaccine can be provided without being given with the DHPP. It recently became a core vaccine, and was not always “all mixed together”. Second, it was obvious that my dogs previous vaccine records were not read by the technician prior to them administering the vaccine to my dog. There was either miscommunication about what needs I requested to be met, if she was healthy enough for it or they were heard and simply disregarded. I was very annoyed by this since he deduced it down to just returning my money when the fact was, a vaccine was given unnecessarily to my dog. However, Dr. Vetters is very personable, a vet I would’ve considered keeping and due to the severity of her seizure I decided to return for follow up. My second visit started off exactly the same, personable staff, my dog got in easy with no issues. She had to go back in for follow up blood work since her initial blood work showed issues with her pancreas and liver. She was back there for 10 minutes screaming during her service. I didn’t mind this because she’s a very anxious dog, hates the vet and she’s medicated for this purpose and it relatively normal for her. I knew once she was done, she wouldn’t have to deal with it until results came back and we came up with a treatment plan for her. Upon check out, the invoice stated only a nail trim. I told the technician the service was incorrect and she was supposed to get blood work done. The technician looked at it and responded in the exact same way “they told me to do a nail trim”. Even the receptionist agreed with me and told the technician the appointment specifically said my dog was scheduled for blood work. Please note, days prior a receptionist confirmed my appointment with me for my dog to do blood work and ONLY blood work. The technicians response was “well it can be on us and you can just bring your dog back in for blood work”. Confirming a medical service PRIOR to performing it on a pet is very important. How can I even trust that things are being done correctly back there when you can’t discern a nail trim appointment between a blood work appointment? Based on her nonchalant response, It was very obvious it was not a big deal to her, probably because it was just a nail trim. It’s even more infuriating knowing my dog was had to sit through a service she DID NOT NEED, knowing she’s already anxious, hates nail trims and was screaming back there.
EDIT: Dr.Gochanour personally reached out and was extremely apologetic of the circumstances. I am glad I gave this location another chance because they made it up to my...
Read moreThe reason for this 1 star is because this little Vet clinic is out for the money clearly and not the best interest of the animals. I say this because my Son and Daughter in law had taken their puppy in for surgery, Dr. Stephanie McAvoy was the doctor they dealt with. Dr. Stephanie McAvoy said the procedure would be short and would cost 955.03. Well she did not do something right cause lo and behold they had to take the puppy back and get a second procedure done ( mind you the same procedure )for 401.98 and guess what!!!!! Yes had to go back for a 3rd that was 50$!!! So we’re almost at 1,500!!! Well guess what the same problem is occurring again. This time they talked with a Dr. Jennifer Gochanour and said bring him in but I’ll do the procedure (same procedure )for 538.00 ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Instead of correcting the issue and the incompetence of the other doctor, They want more money!!! Well my kids decided to not take the puppy back and you will not believe what they did next??!!! You ready!!?? THEY SENT A BILL FOR CANCELLING THE APPOINTMENT!!! When we canceled ahead of time!!! And with all the money they stole from my kids that should’ve been covered!! We called a VET in Aspen and gave them the background on the puppy and told them Living Springs Veterinary Care were the ones that “provided care” for the puppy. That VET said it’s ABSURD for what they charged and not to mention couldn’t get the issue resolved. He also stated he’s dealt with this type of issue many times in dogs and would never rob a client the way Living Springs did and for us to take the puppy to him that he will correct their mistakes and see to it that the job is done and done correctly! So needless to say we will do that drive to a Vet that knows what they’re doing and the pricing wow so reasonable!! You definitely can see that this VET loves his job and does it for the animals not the money because the price is 75% cheaper than Living Springs charged my kids the first time. Shame on this Practice. If Living Springs really wanted to help my kids and correct their mistakes at their own expense they would’ve, but they kept asking for more money. I would not recommend this...
Read moreThis Veterinary Clinic is Amazing. Words cant describe how grateful my wife and I are to them for helping our fur baby, Baxter. Im a Truck driver and its really hard for us to find a Vet that will see us on the same Day, nonetheless after explaining what was going with Baxter they told us to bring him ASAP my Wife and I had to walk about 2 miles from the Loves Truck stop because we didnt have a car and there were no uber or lyft willing to take us with our dog. After we got there he got tested for Parvo but results came back negative, and Doctor McAvoy came out and discussed with us options for care for Baxter and she was very understanding of the situation with our budget. We decided to get Baxter the at home treatment options, which involved subcutaneous fluid hydration, thankfully Vanessa and Mercedes were very knowledgeable and showed my wife and I the proper steps and answered any questions we had to the best of their knowledge. After Everything at the clinic Baxter was already showing a little sign of improvement. By the time my Wife and I started walking back I carried Baxter around my neck for about half a mile maybe a little more before Dr McAvoy called me and asked if we needed a ride back to our truck, they tried to come find us a little after we left but we cut through a lot of the streets to cut our walking distance ( thats why i walked half a mile) but after i told them where I was they came and picked us up and gave us a ride for the remaining mile and a half and they brought Baxter, water. They dropped us off directly in front of our truck. Best Veterinary clinic ive been to, went above and beyond to care for Baxter. And even this morning I received a call from Lynae to check up on Baxter, I cant express the gratitude we have towards them for helping us so much in these times of need. Baxter is showing great signs of progress. 10/10 Bring your dogs here and rest assured they will be taken care of, it absolutely shows the attention and care they show for...
