"Meijer reserves the right to restrict or refuse returns, refunds or exchanges"
My GF bought a Meijer branded charger in the store and it quit working after about 2 weeks. We attempted to return it using the "return kiosk' now available in customer service. The kiosk asks for receipt and some personal information which was provided. She got a call over the weekend to produce the original receipt which was provided at the kiosk, but that she had misplaced after leaving the store. She located the receipt and THEN was asked to produce he box as well which had been thrown away after opening the charging cable!!
We've talked with multiple people at the corporate level and store level and Meijer is outright refusing to refund this charger at the store level claiming they don't know if it came from their store despite a tag wrapped around the charger stating it is their product with their website displayed!!
No one bothered to walk back to the shelf to locate one which would have told any Meijer employee immediately it was their product. If you're going to require the box maybe amend your return policy online (which makes no mention of a box required for a return).
You lost our business a few years ago when you went to the sale pricing demanding you buy two or more of something to get the sales price----after this little stunt you're losing our business again----most likely for good this time. With Walmart, Aldi, Harding's and Martin's in the area we don't have to shop here!!
I will also more than likely be calling and closing...

If I could give zero stars for what happened tonight I would. We went to the Benton Harbor Meijer to shop this evening, which is where we do about 95% of our shopping. There is a winter storm warning for our area so the lines were ridiculously long due to people preparing to hunker down. We were in line, a line that had their light on (because I’m not going to be stupid a pick a line with their light off) for 15 minutes. There were two more customers behind us. The lady shut her light off AFTER we had all been in line for a good 10 minutes. We’re finally next up to put our food on the belt and she comes around from the register and puts the chain up and says “I’m sorry but I’m closed”. We were in her line WHILE HER LIGHT WAS STILL ON! On top of that we were there with our small child who was ready to go. That is not good customer service. I work with customers on a daily basis and would have never done something like this. Ridiculous. We will not be going back. Went to the Stevensville Meijer after this happened and they had all but 3 lanes open and everyone was friendly. It’s worth the extra miles to...
Read moreObviously every place has ups and a downs at times. However, the pick up ladies that I had interactions with on Jan 9th from roughly 11am-2pm we’re absolutely phenomenal. An expensive hair conditioner and two yogurts were forgotten off my pick-up order. I had gotten 2 out of the 4 yogurts ordered, and my conditioner was no where to be found. I was honestly mostly worried about the conditioner, and it seeing that it was multiple items it seemed that we had just missed a bag when loading up. I had to come back a second time which was a downfall. Not only was the size conditioner I ordered out of stock, but so was the yogurts. However, these ladies not only fulfilled my order, but also went above and beyond to make it right. Stuff happens, but I’m beyond grateful for how they made it up to me AND that they were such pleasant/happy workers in the process. These ladies were seriously so kind and professional throughout all of this. Kudos to the pick-up team!! (Really wish that Meijer had an option to tip the pick-up team. I don’t carry cash otherwise I would’ve right...
