County Seat Antique Mall — Local services in Benton

County Seat has an amazing selection, one of the best in southern Illinois. I wish they would improve their customer service. When you walk in the door, no greeting, only looks from the men at the counter. The gentleman who bags and wraps items does a wonderful job of being cognizant and helpful to customers in line. The other two gentleman will ignore you when you are next in line and it’s your turn, they will walk away to assist somebody else. Then, after you stand there for an additional while, the bagging gentleman will remind the cashiers that you are indeed next in line. Incredible antique mall!! There are so many vendors it’s hard to count and just about every type of antique you can think of. Everything is reasonably priced (varies based on the booth, of course). The downstairs room is quite extensive - when you walk to the back, there’s stairs leading to another floor. There’s a music booth halfway up in its own floor space with a whole room of music stuff. The store is huge and stuffed full of great antiques and collectables. The employees are second to none when It comes to fast friendly service and they instantly make you feel comfortable and glad you stopped in. There's no way you can leave this store without finding something you just have to have. The new ownership has put a lot of time and energy into making the store better and better each week so make sure you get up to the Benton square and see what joes done to the place and buy yourself...
