My family and I came into tonight for the first time. We were not impressed with any of it. The place was clean but nondescript. The ambiance was more like a sterile hospital rather than a typical pizza joint. The tone of the place and meal was set when the young lady took our drink order and then asked us if we were ready to order. Mind you, I was the only one who had a chance to look at the menu. I was trying to figure out which pizza to order for the kids. I kept it simple since it was obvious she wanted to go back to whatever she was doing before we came in. The pizza was chewy and the toppings slid off with the first bite. None of us are fans of the toppings being hidden under the cheese. The cheese-stuffed breadsticks were tasty (as were the toasted ravioli we had when we ordered carry out a month ago). What bothered my family and I the most, is when the girl set the pizza down on the table then asked if we were ready for the check. What? Wow. We had planned on ordering a second pizza but that killed that thought. We were rushed through the entire meal. I understand the place was busy but to make people feel uncomfortable and rushed? The young lady was nice enough but it just seemed like we were being pushed out the door before we even ate. I've worked in restaurants and had my own catering service before. Never once would I make a guest feel the way my family and I felt tonight. We wanted to relax and have a family night out, enjoying a meal, and talking with our kids. Unfortunately that didn't happen. We might consider ordering carry-out but we won't go in there for another...
Read moreI've been to Joe's many times when I have visited Benton and have always enjoyed the food. At times, mistakes were made with my order, but the servers had cheerfully apologized and made a correction for the error. For example, Sunday night, 7/2, Macie was our server and I asked for my chef salad to not have American cheese on it. When the salad arrived, it had no cheese on it at all, so I asked if I could get some Swiss cheese for it. Macie apologized and brought a GENEROUS amount of Swiss cheese pieces for my salad. In addition, one member of our party was an elderly gentleman who was unexpectedly delayed, and we had not heard from him. Macie was very patient and shared our concern for our friend, waited a while after getting our drinks, and checked back a few times until I said we'd go ahead and order. She left the menu in his place so when he arrived, he would be able to order. Sure enough, he arrived (we had a miscommunication about the time, likely my misunderstanding!) and Macie was a delight to him and all of us. She is very attentive and saw to our needs. All of the food was excellent - their creamy Italian salad dressing is the best! Three of us are planning to stop by again next week when we are visiting again. Thanks, Macie, for making our visit so enjoyable, and thanks to the staff for preparing the wonderful food!!! Keep up the...
Read morei’ve had it about four or five times. Usually simple one topping pizzas.
The issue I have is that they’re insanely greasy. To the point where try to take a bite out of a chicken pizza causes the pizza to be soggy, weigh down and drip all the sauce, cheese, grease, and toppings off. For a smaller pizza place i’d expect quality. If I wanted greasy pizza I would go to pizza hut.
Never satisfied. Taste is decent if you get specific ingredients that won’t radiate fat.
Pros: due to the insane amounts of grease from what I assume is high fat cheeses being used, you get full after one or two slices. They also do have decent customer service, if you call they’ll try to fix or replace, but it’s never really any less greasy.
Cons: Greasy, even soggy at times. Please just work on this Joes Pizza. Use different types of cheese, perhaps the current kind is higher fat cheeses, it ruins the quality of the...
