United States Postal Service — Local services in Berkley

Been coming here almost 30 years. Its small and quaint. Recently my business mail is open or damaged. I receive my bank statement from December in an envelope with no address from sender a week ago in February. Lots of drama someone tried to get into my account and they placed a hold. The note read open by mistake. I have serious fraud on my credit report i even received Experian report damaged opened and put inside another envelope. It also had a note attached. Something is wrong with the people who work here now. Outrageous box prices. Rude overbearing employes. These people are opening mail. Shame on you! Udate My mail is being forwarded to another individual in Grand Blanc isn't that criminal. These people are very unprofessional. A certified letter was sent back twice. All magazine and business mail us being forwarded. Shame on you. Update I am looking for a tax statement that has been sent to my box twice magazines and business mail is being forwarded to another individual who has made inquiries into my accounts. Per usual, rude customer service. Went to the counter to ask what was the best way to mail a box since I forgot tape. No actual discussion or answer to my question. Just told I was wrong to bring my box up unfinished. Was then sent to the lobby and told to buy tape and write the address on the box. Instead of the usual sticker that’s placed on boxes when mailed. No pens available in the lobby either and there was a roll of tape right next to the clerk. Tried to ask questions about this and immediately met with resistance. Then clerk proceeded to talk about me to the next customer loud enough so I could hear her. Asked her to stop this and she blatantly stated “I want you to hear me...

Just spent 30 minutes Monday morning waiting for this post office in Berkley to open. They were supposed to be open at 9:00am but no one showed up for work today— except for their reliable maintenance individual. Well over a dozen other people came through the post office in the time I waited also needing to send out their parcels. One of the women said the exact same thing happened to her already just a couple weeks ago.

I really don’t understand why this post office receives such good reviews. I have never found the employees to be particularly helpful or pleasant. Perhaps the people putting up “friendly neighborhood post office” reviews have not lived in many places outside of metro...
