I recently visited Macy’s in Bethel Park, PA, located in South Hills Village, and I have to say, the experience was a mix of great finds and a few areas that could use improvement.
First Impressions: As soon as I walked in, the store felt clean, organized, and well-lit, which is always a good start. The holiday displays were beautifully set up, adding a festive touch to the shopping atmosphere.
Clothing and Accessories: I spent most of my time browsing the clothing sections. Macy’s offers a solid range of brands, from affordable options like INC International Concepts to higher-end brands like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. The selection was impressive, especially in the women’s and men’s clothing sections. I found a stylish winter coat that was both on sale and high quality—definitely a win! However, the sizes were somewhat picked over in certain areas, particularly in women’s petite and men’s XL. It might be worth calling ahead if you’re looking for something specific.
The jewelry and accessories department was also well-stocked. There were plenty of handbags, scarves, and watches to choose from, including name brands like Coach and Michael Kors. It felt like there was something for every budget.
Beauty Department: The beauty and fragrance counters were a highlight for me. They carry a wide range of popular brands like Estée Lauder, Clinique, and Lancôme, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I appreciated that they offered samples of perfume and skincare products without making me feel pressured to buy right away.
Home Goods: The home department was my final stop, and it didn’t disappoint. They had a great variety of bedding, cookware, and seasonal decor. I was particularly impressed by the Martha Stewart and Hotel Collection bedding displays. I grabbed a set of towels that were on a great discount and felt luxurious...
Read moreTo preface this review, I am not an avid shopper and I do not enjoy it much. The evening I went to Macy's I did not have my wonderful Wife with me to give fashion guidance. Lost, confused, and in need of help, I finally stumbled upon the men's dress clothes area. There was a wedding coming up and I was in need of some sharp clothes! There were employees and customers everywhere and it looked frantic. I assumed I was in for a rough experience because I truly needed some educated opinions on what to purchase and what I should be looking for. There's no way I was going to get the time of day to make an informed purchase.
And then, along came Daryll! I was greeted with enthusiasm and kindness. I instantly felt comfortable even though I was out of my element. Daryll asked what my goals were with my visit and was able to direct me with ease. He knew this section like the back of his hand. I never felt like I was being oversold or misled even though I expressed how naive I was to men's dress clothes. I took all of Daryll's suggestions and ran with them because of how educated and professional he was! While he was helping me, many other customers would stop by just to say hi to him. That's when I knew he was the man!
Seriously, whether you are getting dressed up for the first time, looking to add some flare into your wardrobe, or wear dressier apparel everyday but need a change, go see Daryll at Macy's in South Hills Village!
Daryll, I hope I spelled your name correctly and I hope your bosses treat you like gold. You are a true professional, your passion for what you do is...

I was looking through the clearance rack for some deals and came across a pair of Levi raw denim jeans that would actually fit me. I slung them over my arm and kept looking, while my wife searched an aisle down for womens stuff. I noticed a worker following us around, eyeballing us. She was OBVIOUSLY following us, as if we were going to shoplift. I thought this was absurd, as i was wearing about $550 worth of "outfit". I asked about the price of the jeans and she quoted me full price. They came up as congruent, as this store did not sell the. But they were returned there. I kept looking, and ANOTHER woman started eyeballing us. At this point it was incredibly insulting, as we were looking at the 63%-81% off clearance rack. Everything was betw÷en $7 and $14. I took my items to the counter and the woman said they didnt carry them in the store so theyre 50% off. I told her they were on the "extreme" clearance rack and she didnt care at all. The woman (2nd one) that was following us followed us all the way to the counter where there was a line (and she was actually needed).
I came to this store to look into buying about $500-$600 worth of Lacoste tees and i can guarantee you will never see my business again. If thisstore is closing i can understand why. If this is how customers are treated, noone should come here unless they want to be treated like a criminal or thief.
Ill be glad to buy my yearly Lacoste tees...
