Go see Nate! He is the best!
My fiancé and I went to a small, locally-owned jewelry store in our area when we started talking about getting engaged. Though I found a beautiful ring at the store, the positive experiences stopped there. It seemed as if the store’s customer service stopped when the money was received — right down to them ordering the wrong engagement ring! The dust settled from that, and we went back to that store to look at wedding bands; however, we felt like the sales associates weren’t listening to what we wanted.
Fast forward a couple months, and we were in Pittsburgh for a wedding. We stopped at Jared on a whim on our way home, and Nate was the specialist who helped us. My fiancé was up front with Nate that we were just passing by and stopped and weren’t planning to make any purchases that day. Nate still took the time to show us multiple options for both of our wedding rings, making suggestions and listening to our thoughts on each ring. We both appreciated his honesty about what he thought would work best for us. After we left the store, we kept commenting to each other about how positive the shopping experience with Nate was.
In fact, it was so positive that I ended up driving hours back to the store a week or so later to buy my wedding band and other items for the wedding from Nate. When I stopped in to pick up my sized wedding band, my mom was with me. Nate helped us, but she didn’t know that was who had helped me before. When we left the store, she said how nice and helpful Nate was.

Read moreSo, I purchased an engagement ring for my fiancé. Rick helped us with initially picking the band as well as the stone. He was fantastic and super helpful and patient. Fast forward to the day I officially proposed; I inspected the ring closer and found some minor flaws, which I don’t feel necessary to disclose, and we returned to Jared to have it corrected. To make a long story short, I have been very picky on certain aspects of the ring’s appearance, and working with Rick, Kaitlynn, Stacy, and Kevin has been an absolutely wonderful experience. Rick is an awesome, low pressure salesman. He really listens to his customers’ requests and is extremely helpful. Stacy (the manager) has been very polite and courteous, and she really knows how to formulate a plan with her team to help her customers. Kaitlynn, I hope I’m spelling her name correctly, has been super sweet and fun to work with and has been an awesome communicator throughout the process. Kevin is truly an artist and he has a very determined mindset to ensure that his settings are proper and that his customers are happy. Read moreJared is apparently not the Galleria of all types of jewelry, which I found out the hard way when I wasted my time making and coming in for an appointment to have my wedding band and engagement ring resized.
I called in the first time to make sure they would work with platinum and they were ok with working on rings purchased from another vendor. I was told that would be fine.
When I called back to make the appointment I was asked again by someone else whether or not I had purchased the rings from them. I indicated a second time that I purchased the rings from Brilliant Earth. I was not asked any additional questions.
I came in for the appointment and after observing the ring under their microscope, I was asked if my diamond was lab created. I told them that it was and they replied that they cannot help me because they don’t work on lab created diamonds due to corporate policy.
If it’s a corporate policy, the right thing to do is tell customers up front before they waste their time that they cannot provide services. I highly recommend Jared amends it’s corporate policy to ask folks what kind of diamond they have when inquiring for services on jewelry purchased elsewhere or maybe don’t service jewelry that...
