I absolutely recommend! Parking in the area maybe not the easiest to find without having to pay. The vibe was wonderful, the ambiance definitely made it feel more like a Friday or Saturday night even though it wasn't. I tried the impossible burger here and substituted it on a specialty burger and it was amazing! I would argue probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. The meat was super thin that would be my only complaint. Also the bun was a unexpected suprise that I quiet enjoyed, it was in a rectangular shape and it was made out of Hawaiin roles. The four star is simply because they initially wrung us up and charged 5 extra dollars per each burger to substitute with impossible meat. That is crazy expensive! Especially since the regular in possible burger on their menu was only 10 dollars and after substituting impossible onto another burger the total burger was like 17 bucks!!!! However, when we asked about the charge they said it was actually 2.50 extra and that it hadn't been changed in the system!!! So, be careful to match substitutions on the board with what they are charging it seems they are not notifying customers or making effort to correct it in the system.
Update: I went a month later from the original post and again ran into the same problem! Their board clearly says 2.49 for substituting the in possible burger. When I brought it up to the cashier right away, instead of honoring what is stated on the menu she went with the price of $5.00 as it came on the system. If you go to order online and look at this establishments board price it says 2.49. I can care less of you put a piece of paper on the board and put 4.99! However, if you are going to just up your price and not let customers know except if they catch it at check out, that is unprofessional and unacceptable. Instead of trying to help resolve the discrepancy, the cashier continued to go back and forth. I understand the point of "prices increasing" especially due to COVID. However, if that is the case you guys as a business should do the responsible thing and make sure the menu reflects the prices you guys are changing it to. Grocery stores, clothing stores and other restaurants honor a price marked even if it is incorrect/forget to change the price. I have never ran into an issue having a business be honorable and provide the price as CLEARLY listed. I will not be returning here because I won't sacrifice taste over decency. There is a location in Gaithersburg, I will be going there for now on and if I run into these issues there too I simply will not be eating at this chain any longer. I recommended this place to several people, but I will not be recommending...
Read moreSoooo, initially, I ordered through Doordash and one of my sandwiches was missing. I called the restaurant and the very kind cashier/bartender apologized and told me to comeback they will give me the missing sandwich. He was super friendly, Thanks. When I got back to the restaurant later on I came in and another gentleman was there. I explained what happend and guess what! He was just as kind and accomadating. Apologized for the error, gave me TWO replacement sandwiches, and discounted my beverage at the bar. I was truly grateful. They really went out the way to correct the issue. Now to the food. My 1st sandwich was cold as I had to get back to work but it was a pretty good sandwich needed a little more sandwich. Pretty basic. Chicken tender slider sized roll, lettuce, sauce (needed more)and pickles. The Bad mutha clucka, tater tots and onion rings. Beer batter onion rings were delicious and crispy; even after heating in the microwave. The tater tots were a little over cooked but over all edible with some ketchup. The sandwich was good. Mildly seasoned with a hit of choluloa hot sauce it was delicious. The The hot chick was the sandwich I got later on and is in the photos. So much better the the Bad mutha cluck. So much more flavor. The coleslaw the pickles. I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. Price total through door dash was $22 for 2 sandwich combo and extra side of onion rings when picking up. Now to my drink at the bar. Unfortunately, it was not so good. It was called #the kiss." it could have been great, but the ginger beer was flat as it had clearly been open before using in my drink. The wine you could also tell had been open as it had that I've been sitting in the fridge with no cork flavor. So maybe try going when they are busier and pulling out new/fresh bottles for the cocktails. All in all, I would try one more time the customer service was really good. Just a few little snags. Hope this novel helps you decide to stop in. They do have other things on the menu like specialty hit dogs and sausages and BEER!! That could change this to a 10 so I...
Read moreThis is a novelty attempt at a different type restaurant. It falls flat on its face. The atmosphere in the Bethesda, Md location is fine for the advertised sports bar.
The service was amateurish, it was uneven and inconsistent. Some people got coasters for their drinks, most did not. On a fairly low traffic night they seemed overwhelmed. Their bartenders are also working the tables, in the small room. They lacked service awareness. I never saw anyone wiping down the bar after service. They keep the beer draft station clean, wiping down regularly.
The natural wings were tasty and cooked deliciously. The tater tots were super greasy and flavorless. They were left mostly untouched. The “smashed” burger was disappointing, the bacon on the burger was chopped bacon. Again another letdown. This was served on Hawaiian rolls, four per order. It was a mess, too much bread, segmented individual rolls coming apart. After a bite or two the bread was coming apart, the burger was all over the paper bin it was served in. The ridiculous metal lunchroom type trays that the food is delivered on is part of their novelty theme.
The menu is a confusing mess. If it’s a sports bar and everything is ala cart. Really?! At this type of restaurant the menu should not have to be explained. It’s a brief double sided presentation on black paper, featuring the menu options.
The condiments are all one use packages. The salt and pepper, ketchup are handed out for use. It felt real cheap, sitting at the bar.
The beer options were a lot of the same stuff. Mostly IPA beers on draft and a few other options. Nothing dark, no Ales or summer beers.
The location is pretty good. It’s noticeable from...
