Molten — Local services in Bethlehem

Went to see a show @ the molten on Saturday January 28th 2017 ( chicks that rocked the 80s )... My wife & I arrived @ 5:00pm waited until the molten opened at 6:00pm the band did not start until 10:00pm. We picked a seat right in front / center of the dance floor ( the seating was first come first served arrangement ). We got a few drinks & got some food to pass the time. The band got underway late they did not start playing until 10:25pm. Once the band started people was filling up the dance floor ( right in front of us ) after about 20 mins of the band playing my wife & myself could not see the band members or singers or them playing. People kept filing in crowding the dance floor even more my wife's leg got bumped into 2 times with no apology' s from the 2 women than 1 woman actually moved my wife's chair to pass behind her with no apology from that women as well. The couple next to us a woman dancing knocked a jacket on the floor and stepped on it with no apology or regard to what she just did. The waitress picked up the jacket for her I was very offended of the caliber of rudeness & total disrespect of other people so was my wife. After an hour of this we had enough & left the venue in total disgust. If you go to a event @ the molten BE WARNED YOU WILL NOT SEE ANYTHING. People will just crowd the floor & you will not see anything in front of you from your seat... We will not be returning for and...

I really dislike this place. My girlfriends drag me here on occasion and I really don't know why. They often have a band which is often mediocre at best and, when the band takes their break, they have a DJ that plays. The DJ is terrible. The song choice is poor and his mixing skills are almost non-existent. I don't even know if he tries to mix at all. I hope not.

The drinks are averagely priced, but the bar is insanely busy and you generally have to wait a long time to get served. I have not found the bartenders to be exceptionally friendly or responsive. It's also fairly smoky in there because it's on the casino floor and you can still smoke in there for whatever insane reason.

All in all, I would never choose to go...

Last night was awesome. Tom Taylor kicked it up a notch and played a dynamic musical set. I love that he plays music that makes you want to dance your heart out nonstop. From start to finish i can always count on Tom to deliver. I also love that he plays the whole song in its entirety. Nothing I hate more than just getting into a song and the DJ changes it up.
