I would like to start this review by stating I do not complain, send food back, ask for remakes corrections etc. I take my food and drink as places serve it. Why? Because as someone who has worked in restaurants, not everything has to taste like “I want it to”. One more quick thing to add, Im only doing this review because the waitress asked us too, I do hope this is construed in a more constructive way then a negative way Having been at Wind creek for a few days, my wife and I decided to try this place out, as it wasn’t there our last time we stayed there. Upon going in the host was nice and showed us to our table. There was a waitress switch so it took our waitress a little bit longer than usual to get to us. It wasn’t all that busy probably just some confusion amongst the staff, no big deal we weren’t in a rush. For our appetizer we opted for the beer cheese and pretzel, great size for 2 maybe even 3 people to split, the beer cheese was good, however the pretzel was clearly stale or over microwaved because it was very hard for a pretzel. I was particularly intrigued by the presentation, great idea to hang it from a stand to showcase its size with the cheese underneath, but it made a mess as you broke it apart because there was no serving plate underneath it. Not a big deal for me, but makes more work for the staff to clean up. Our waitress stopped by and asked how everything was, unfortunately we opted for the lack of truth version because once again we don’t send food back, we pay for what is delivered to us. For our entrees my wife opted for the special, hotdog with pulled pork and nacho cheese with a bag of chips. I went with the Chicago dog and loaded scoops(cheddar cheese and bacon on top of their style fries). This wasn’t my first time having a Chicago dog, we have done a lot of traveling and oddly enough gourmet hotdogs and gourmet pizza are some of our favorites when traveling. For those unfamiliar with the Chicago dog, it’s a hotdog with tomato, pickle, onions, relish, mustard, and celery salt on a poppy seed bun. What I got was a hot dog with all the above minus the tomato(cook must have forgot) and everything was heavily covered in relish. To me this was a big turn off because of the amount of relish, there was so much relish you couldn’t even taste the other ingredients. Meanwhile the “loaded fries” were the complete opposite of the dog, there was a little sprinkle of cheese and bacon on them. There was more scoops with out any toppings then there was with toppings. Our waitress did check back in and once again we continued on with our meal. My wife’s hot dog was tasty however it was covered in nacho cheese and you really lost the flavor of all the other ingredients. I do want to point out these hot dogs aren’t your regular hot dog, they are extra large as they advertise which was great. The last thing I ever wanted to do was come on here and leave a negative review for a new business, I hope maybe this review can be used for future success of this business. With that being said a couple things I would recommend, There are roughly 12-14 6 person high tops, I understand your catering to a group type atmosphere, but at the present time more then half of the high tops were occupied by 2 person parties. This makes it difficult for you to accommodate the bigger parties you are aiming to get with your group attractions. You have a great menu, but let’s taste it. The uniqueness of every item described sounded amazing. But less is best for gourmet style twists on the items. But pretty much ties into 2. I think your prices are adequate for a casino, but i feel like we paid to taste the relish and nacho cheese. Instead of the uniqueness of a large hotdog with pulled pork or the gourmet flavors of a Chicago style hotdog.
We do wish you the best of luck and success in the Bethlehem area as there is heavy competition of unique flavors with all different types of cuisine. As well we look forward to giving you another try when we stop in on our next...
Read moreI purchased a $50 Sweet Deals gift certificate for Twisted Tees, in December, 2024, as I had never tried the restaurant before and figured this was a way to try it at a discounted price. So, I took my boyfriend there and although the meal prices were higher than most we enjoyed the dinner. Actually the atmosphere and the free games were the best parts. We had a left over remainder of $16.50 on the gift certificate and the waitress asked her manager what to do. As apparently they didn't know how to make a regular gift certificate card for the remainder she have me the gift certificate paper back, attached the sales slip for our meal and signed and dated the paperwork. The gift certificate clearly stated on it that any unused portion would be credited.
Fast forward to tonight...we were in the area again so we decided to use the remainder of the gift certificate and try the place another time. Ordered dinner, food was just OK...Chilli was bland and certainly not worth the price. Gave the server the paperwork I had with the remainder of the gift certificate and she told me that she could not honor it, as it has to be all used at one time. I told her that was what the server gave me and that other restaurants I purchased the same Sweet Deals for gave me a gift card with the remainder to be used a second time. She finally said she would call her boss and see if she could do anything. She came back telling me that they would honor it this time but next time they would not. I didn't tell her that there will be no next time visiting Twisted Tees. Her attitude was horrible, when I told her what I was told by the previous waitress who had also contacted the boss that night. Having myself worked in customer service and sales positions my entire life, and even taught those courses, you respect the customer and listen to them. She just cut off my conversation to tell me that I was wrong...what happened to listening to the customer? I will certainly never return to this establishment, as they certainly don't want happy repeat customers. To sum it up, food is high priced for the quality, you have a very argumentative server and obviously...
Read moreMy husband and I had been here a couple of times before to grab a bite to eat, and the food was always good. So for his 60th birthday I decided to hold a little family get together there as a surprise party for him. I went in a couple of months prior and spoke with Colleen. She was very helpful and reserved a lane for a couple of hours for us for the party. I decided I was going to order off the cater menu because we had a variety of ages (2-70) and this was the easiest way to have everything ready instead of ordering individually. When I arrived with my husband everything was set up nicely, and tables were reserved right by the lane I had reserved. The food was very good, everybody commented on it, there was plenty to take home (which several family members did do) and the drinks were really good. All ages had fun, as there was something to do for all. Our server, Marilyn, was over the top attentive and kept an eye on everything. A drink glass got emptied, or a certain food got low, and she was on it in a flash!! I can't say enough about the food or service. Even servers not serving us would stop to chat, wish my husband a happy birthday, and overall everybody was great. THANK YOU Colleen for making the planning so smooth, and THANK YOU Marilyn for being so fantastic at your job!! I am sure you will see us in the near future, and I know my family members were impressed with everything, and I am sure you will see them all again at some point! It was a...
