My family and I searched for months for a contractor to help us renovate a portion of our 100 year old duplex. After interviewing 8 contractors, Miron from LA Home Construction came by and felt the most honest and confident in what we wanted to accomplish. His bid that was right in the middle of the other bids.

From beginning to end, one of our favorite parts about working with Miron was his communication. Any questions, concerns, or changes that we wanted to make along the way were addressed promptly. He’s quick to update and deliver paperwork and contracts, and was on top of the payment schedule in a streamlined manner. Most importantly, Miron is kind and always available. He took all of our questions, large or small, seriously.

We did make a few significant changes to the scope of work along the way, and the workers and sub-contractors all made room for the changes without hesitation.

The project turned out great. From asbestos/lead tests, to demo and the replacement of termite damaged wood..from drywall/painting, new vinyl floors, electrical updates and central heat and air installation, everyone who came to work here was kind and good at their jobs.

I was living in the apartment during the renovation, and a few times I had to remind the crew of this- so that the dust and debris would be better contained with plastic and floor protection. I know it’s hard with multiple trades coming in and out over 8 weeks to keep that in check, and in the end I do feel like our home was treated with respect.

We hired LA Home Construction to build a deck for us on our rooftop. We chose to have material from Trex installed, which required them to prepare the decking by installing a massive underlying support structure as the surface of the roof had a slight slope for water drainage. The team designed the support structure to ensure that the decking materials were completely straight and flat, but retained spaces underneath for water drainage.

In addition, they took our somewhat creative idea on design for the decking and managed to implement it so the final result looked exactly like we had envisioned. We could not have been more pleased with the final result.

The final product is smooth, flat, and very sturdy underneath. Extremely professional job!

I will also add that the job required the crew to bring everything up a narrow staircase to the fourth floor of our building, which they did by hand. It added additional challenge to the design, but the crew handled it very well, bringing hundreds of pounds of materials and equipment through our hallways and staircases with no damage to anything.

The crew working on the install was extremely professional, considerate, and thorough as well, ending each day of the project with cleaning and vacuuming the work areas on the roof, and sweeping the stairs to ensure there was nothing left behind overnight.
