We booked months in advance to make sure we would have transportation to and from our destination. Lane was truly great at accommodating for our delayed flights. With a flight schedule change and two delays I was nervous I wouldn’t have a ride once we arrived at the airport. Our ride was comfortable and we got to our destination safely. Unfortunately our return to the airport was not a good experience. Although I received a confirmation for our booking by email and then again via text message we were not picked up. An hour past our pickup time had gone by and I began to worry we would miss our flights. I attempted to call with the number provided in the email for questions but was unable to reach anyone. I also attempted to text the driver number we were given but also no response. Thankfully we were able to find an alternative shuttle back to the airport (more expensive but no other options available) with 20 minutes to get to our gate. Lone Peak Taxi was certainly a great experience at the beginning of our trip but I could not recommend them if you are looking for a reliable ride. I’m not sure what we would have done if we missed our flights and had to rebook. For the business: I would recommend not using an automated system to confirm bookings the day of (or the day before). This should be manually triggered by an employee. If it’s not, then the customer should be immediately notified they no longer have a ride. If I had 12 hours or more to plan a different ride this situation could have been avoided. I do understand mistakes happen. I believe this needs to be handled differently in the future to have a better outcome.
I appreciate the business response. I was made aware in a text later that day that a mistake was made and that is why there was no pickup. Thankfully Big Sky had been through a dry spell and the roads were very clear. We had the concierge at the resort check on the road status to make sure nothing was blocked and no incidents were reported. I was only made aware now that the vehicle was stuck which is different than what was explained in the text message to me. Being stuck without cell service for 4 hours must have been rough. His vehicle was clean and comfortable. When we arrived, we had a party of 6. It was tight but fit all of us. If you have a large party, I would suggest packing light. He also asked us not to have 6 large suitcases. He has a case on the roof for some additional storage. Four of us returned to the airport together with a very comfortable ride. Lane was in contact the morning of service and was not only on time, but a little early. The vehicle was clean and even came with the sweetest and well-behaved canine co-pilot.
