Big Sky Mountain Village Review: A Convenient but Pricey Base Big Sky Mountain Village offers unparalleled convenience for hitting the slopes, with many accommodations boasting ski-in/ski-out access. The village itself is more of a collection of hotels and service buildings than a traditional walkable town, but it provides essential amenities like equipment rentals, lift ticket offices, and a selection of dining options. While the proximity to the lifts is a major draw, be prepared for generally higher prices across the board, reflecting the resort's premium location. For quick bites and grocery needs, the Hungry Moose Market & Deli within the Exchange building is a convenient option. While offering a range of staples and deli items, its "grab and go" sandwiches and groceries come at a premium compared to options in Big Sky's Town Center. Consider it a valuable resource for immediate needs and packed lunches for the slopes, but not necessarily the most budget-friendly for all meals. The Boyne Rewards program offers a way to offset some of the costs associated with a Big Sky vacation. This free loyalty program allows you to earn points for every dollar spent at participating Boyne Resorts properties, including Big Sky. These points can then be redeemed for various perks like lift tickets, dining, and shopping. While it won't drastically reduce the overall expense, it's a worthwhile program to join to accrue savings over time, especially if you frequent Boyne-affiliated resorts. In conclusion, Big Sky Mountain Village prioritizes convenience and slope access, which comes at a higher cost. The Hungry Moose offers a handy but pricier grocery and deli option, while the Boyne Rewards program provides a long-term strategy for value.

We signed up for the Alpine Cirque Tour and had a great time! The views were incredible. It wasn’t too rigorous thanks to the lifts. Scout and Bounce were our guides and they were absolute legends. They made us feel comfortable, had plenty of knowledge to share, and were super friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun tour up in the mountain!

Great place for kids to rock climb, jump and gem panning. The employees were incredible with kids, which makes all the difference in the world. The guys working the wall and jumps deserve a raise.

Went in for some information about the tram and big couloir. There were three staffs, one male staff who had no idea about the couloir and seemed like he had never heard of it (maybe he is new), two female staffs had limited knowledge and know nothing more than what you can find on their website, and funnily for some reason acted arrogant and careless. They didn’t seem to care about their job and just wanted to be done with it and go home. Big Sky needs better trained staff. The three staffs I encountered clearly were too young and inexperienced...

Had the best lift tour with our guide Kash in the summer season! She is really knowledgeable about the mountains, flora and fauna on the hike. I was worried about bears but she kept us super safe and I was never concerned. I also had a magical guided zip line tour with Kash and Jules. We got to eat huckleberries and learn about different types of mushrooms. 🍄 I love all that and they were both amazing with our safety on zip line. I’m deathly afraid of heights but had no problem with Kash and Jules making me feel totally safe and checking out gear....
