Best. Meal. Ever. We don’t splurge like this often but this was absolutely worth every penny. Every dish we tried was the perfect balance of unique flavor and comforting familiarity. If you get the chance don’t skip the duck confit croquettes and lobster arancini. The A-5 Wagyu tenderloin was melt in your mouth amazing, executed perfectly, and unlike any cut of meat I’ve ever experienced. Just do it. You’re on vacation. I also snuck bites in the bison ribeye and the angus tenderloin and was not disappointed. I’m not sure you can go wrong here. The sides are also very impressive. I recommend sharing the mashed potatoes or mac and cheese both are comforting and a great option if you have kids at the table. But the roasted heirloom carrots are a show stealer. I know I’m gushing at this point but I don’t care, I can’t stress this enough … save 👏 room 👏 for 👏 dessert 👏! Here is what you need to do. Order the lava chocolate cake. That’s a must. If you have a group also share the bread pudding, and tiramisu. My husband says I need to find something negative to say so that you will believe I’m a real person who really ate here, but I can’t. The wait staff was so nice and attentive. The chef even came out personally to check on us and make sure we were having a nice time. I can’t recommend this place more. Thank you for the core...
Read moreOur family has been visiting Big Sky for the last 13 years. 3years ago we discovered the Peaks Restaurant’s buffet lunch and have enjoyed it everyday for the week were here. This year discovered that the buffet has been replaced by a menu. Unfortunately we learned of this after having been seated. While the staff were very friendly and pleasant, they seemed over worked. Our waiter forgot one of the dishes, one of the drink orders (and delivered the wrong drink when reminded). We asked for bread at least 3 times and never saw it. The food was marginal for the price.
I would think the buffet would reduce the stress of the staff, increase the profit margins by reducing the cost to serve, and turn more tables.
We probably won’t return to the peaks this year—that’s nine adults for 6...
Read moreWhile peaks has interesting and creative food, to me the taste fell short of ideal. Peaks is trying to be a high-end establishment but could have better service as I had to refill my water glass from a bottle I had in my bag on several occasions. The smaller glass size did not help and the cutlery made it harder to consume the salad as the fork wasn't designed quite properly. Portion sizes were quite sufficient. The cost is on the higher end of the village comparable to the Cabin and Andiamo. Individual tastes vary, so if you have money and are looking for variety it may be worth stopping by, but it would not be my first or second choice for fine...
