Last year my mother passed and she had leased a washer machine from this location. I advised the staff of the situation in which they stated they would not contact me any further and they would put a notation on the file. Yet every week for 6 months I receive a phone call from them about the debt and ever week I answered and advised them same thing over and over and to the point when they called they knew my voice and would often times just hang up in my face before I could say anything. At first I just took it as an honest mistake because they had advised me that the person was new. This year I was looking for a particular bedroom set for my guest room and found it via google on their website so I tried to complete everything online but ran into a hiccup so I just stopped. Not soon after I received a text message from the store stating that they had a few offers, so I said ok let me call store in which I did. I ended up speaking to a gentleman in which he stated I was not eligible for the offers and the guy that sent the offers was new and he didn’t know what he was talking about. (Seems familiar that to blame all errors are from new staff), but I ended up getting a phone call in the process so I’d advised him I’d call back. In the meantime, he called me back 7 times back to back while I was on the other line as well as he texted stating that we could finish the process through text message. After I released my call, I was dealing with some things around the house and they continuously called back again and again. Around 6:20pm I answered to finish the process as I had planned to do 60days same as cash. I made the weekly first payment and was scheduled for the upcoming Saturday, in which the next payment was due. Early that morning I received a text about the payment so I advised them that at some point that day I would be going to the bank to make a deposit, I didn’t feel the need to tell my personal business but you think that would have been enough. So as I waited for the delivery going into 3 o’clock, I called the store and the store Manager, Destiny stated that she had cancelled my order. Soooo you guys call me 1000 times for everything else but you couldn’t communicate that. Why? …. Because you being facetious and had ill intentions in your business practices!
So I had advised the Store Manager, Today is the anniversary of my mother’s passing and I just didn’t feel like leaving the house. The staff at this store are insensitive and have no business tack at all. Therefore, I will be officially filing a Corp complaint as well as a complaint with the BBB as well seeking legal counsel. Read moreWent there on 12/10/2020 for a dryer applied the manager began calling references the day of delivery and called me stating all my references had a busy signal a complete lie cause my boyfriend who I put down as a reference said he received a call and didn’t know who it’s was the manager then stated she couldn’t use my boyfriend because he came in the store with me even though he was my ride to the rent a center she then began calling my other references at 11:17 the morning of she stated she called my job and they said I worked there and I was on leave which is a paid leave I provided check stubs for she then called and stated she couldn’t rent to me until I went back to work when I have been get paid and also still have my job which they verified the company has been giving me a hard time since I rented a bed set from them and then was determined that the bed had bed bugs which I never had until rent a center gave me the bed I would never rent bedding or furniture from them but now they give me a hard time rent appliances very unprofessional and even have to wait for money that was tooken...
Read moreWent in on Monday morning to begin a rental agreement and started the process with a new employee, she had issues locating the item we wanted and asked the manager for help and was told “I’m busy figure it out!” The area or district manager was there also (skinny blonde ) who also didn’t help.we got a call 15 minutes after delivery time to tell us they can’t find the item but will send a substitute. When we went to pay first week the payment was more than rental agreement we signed and we are paying for the more expensive item we don’t have! The manager tried to tell us the price was correct although we looked online and it was over $20 a week cheaper! We will be sending our items back and will never return here. It’s so sad what this place has become in a short time. I have rented/bought multiple items in the past. The delivery guys are great as are other employees but the manager of this place is going to ruin this store as she wants the $ while others do...
