My Gram recently passed away. It has been a rough time for my family to say the least. This weekend the family got together to take care of her things in her apartment before the end of the month so that the place she lived could rent her apartment. Instead the family got a lesson on how greedy and unethical some companies are. My mother and aunt went into the office at The Village Green at Camden to tell them that my grandmother had passed away and that they would make sure her apartment was cleared out for them so they could rent it. My grandma was never rich and really had nothing just sentimental things and some furniture. While the family was packing up my grandmother's clothes to donate, sentimental odds and ends to keep they were interrupted by the police. The Village Green at Camden called the police because my grandmother broke her lease and they said they are entitled to sell her things.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? There wasn't even money for a funeral! She has NOTHING of value and she didn't skip town she passed away! Broke her lease? When my cousin was 9 months pregnant she asked to get out of her lease there 2 weeks early after living there for 3 years so that she could move before her son was born. They said no, fine she ate it. But apparently they were not kidding when they said no one can break their lease! Even if you are dead they will still hold you to it!!! Well guess what Village Green, businesses are not immune to KARMA! If a company doesn't care about its customers eventually it will have none! Besides your apartments are way over priced and the grounds are under-maintained! Go fly a kite you rotten SOB's! Please share this post if you want to make sure that no one you know ever lives in a community...
Read moreMy wife and I and our dog moved in 2 years ago. We found the Camden team very friendly and supportive from day 1. They were very thoughtful in going over every detail of the lease so we knew up front what our rights and expectations were.
They take very good care of the property and address any issues that arise. Be prepared every couple of months they do need access to your home for maintenance or things like fire alarm inspections. The property is very beautiful. There is a nice mix of elderly and younger clients. My wife and I really enjoyed going out for walks on the paths. Anytime day or night we felt very safe. We also enjoyed being so close to shopping and restaurants.
When it came time for us to move out we did have 1 small stain in the carpet. I emailed them several time over the course of a week asking if they could view our apartment and let me know if I needed to do anything or if it would be okay. we did have communication with the office management and they informed us in writing that there would be no deductions from our deposit. A month after we moved out we got our final statement and there was a $255.00 deduction for the damages. I did not disagree with the damage however I did have a problem with the fact that their management team communicated to me that there would be no deduction and now they are going back on their word.
I believe integrity and honesty is a very important part of doing business and in the future if my life leads me to move back into an apartment I will NOT be contacting Camden at Bloomingdale for a...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I recently went in for a tour we were excited to see this place seeing all the great reviews and of course the location. We had high hopes for this place, having seen about 15 apartments already this one looked like it would be top 2. When we got there we met with Ilona I believe her name was and off the bat she was not very friendly. She went straight into it and took us directly to the model unit. She just let us look around for ourselves while she stood by the door without saying a word. We really liked the place a lot! But she didnât sell us on it. My boyfriend and I both being managers we thrive in customer service and this place lacked it. After seeing the apartment she took us right back to the leasing office didnât bother showing us around or telling us about any amenities which is pretty important in helping us make a decision. Talking to her was like pulling teeth! And when she did talk to us she talked to us like we couldnât afford to live there or something? When we got back there was a lady sitting there waiting for her and her tone with her was completely opposite from the way she talked to us, She was so nice to her, smiling and making conversation while with us she was so standoffish. We were totally turned off! Honestly we probably would have gone with this place if the customer service was better, if this is the kind of people we have to deal with living here we might as well go to one of the other apartments we saw where staff was a...
