I visited the Bloomington store twice this month, buying a suit jacket and matching pants on separate occasions. The first visit was exceptional, with the associate meeting my needs professionally and in a friendly manner. However, my second visit, handled by a manager, was disappointing due to several factors. Despite bringing this up to them in the store, I felt the issue wasn't adequately addressed, prompting me to share my experience in this review.
Upon entering the store, I was not immediately greeted and had to approach a staff member for assistance. When I mentioned I needed matching pants for the suit, instead of taking precise measurements with the measuring tape the associate I was now working with had in their hand, I was asked for my waist size. Not knowing my size, I found it inconvenient to guess. It’s crucial to emphasize the importance of accurate measurements, having sold suits myself in the past. After trying on multiple pairs, I couldn't find the size I needed in stock, but was assured it would be shipped to me directly. However, when I inquired about the inseam measurement, the manager mentioned they didn't "think" alterations would be necessary for the pants. Once again, I stress the significance of precise measurements, which the store failed to provide.
Throughout my interaction with the manager, their attention was diverted to another customer in conversation while I stood there, resulting in a rushed exchange between us. At checkout, when I again asked about the inseam, I received a vague response indicating the pants should be fine. Additionally, I learned the pants would require pressing before wearing, with no offer made for final fitting or pressing at the store. This left me feeling responsible for any adjustments needed upon receiving the pants in the mail. Only after expressing my dissatisfaction did the manager offer to have the pants shipped to the store.
Despite spending close to $500 on the suit, the inconsistent service received has significantly impacted my perception of Men’s Wearhouse. Whether spending $50 or $500, the quality of service should remain consistent. As a result, I'm hesitant to return to or recommend Men’s Wearhouse to others in...
Read moreOrdered three tuxes for a wedding. Ordered vests with the tuxes. Went in and got fitted by one of their employees.
When day arrived for final fitting and to try them on none of them were correct. There were also no vests and nobody had ordered them. My son got professionally fitted by them and when he tried his pants on they weren’t even close to correct. One pair of pants was inches to short and another pair was to king They stated they would make the repairs and they would be available for pick up the next day
Arrive the next day and the order is not ready. Was told that it would not have been ready that day regardless bc they had to order them.
Arrived the next day, day of wedding. Everything is there and ready.
Get home and one of the vests was an extra small Needless to say one member of my wedding party had to go without a vest.
For the price they charge, this was let down in so many ways. $200 per tux and none of the sizing was right, vests weren’t ordered, when they arrived one isn’t even close to fitting anyone in my party. Lack of accountability and care for people’s time. Expecting people to make a trip to get fitted, final fitting, mess up fitting, and then pick up day of wedding just ridiculous.
If ever need a tux again will be going elsewhere....
Read moreFor starters, when I buy a $700 suit, I shouldn't have to worry about the crotch seam ripping at the reception of a wedding. That's just what happened and I had to walk around looking like my fly was undone the entire night. I take it in the next day to the store and I'm told, "It happens man". I get it, you didn't knowingly sell me this suit that way, but as a customer if I want to worry about seams coming undone on newly bought clothes, I'll go to a department store. Absolutely disappointed that the response was simply "it happens". Not how I expect to be treated when buying a suit from a Men's Wearhouse.
Secondly, the salesman added costs on the bill without me knowing. He would say something like, "And we will go ahead and add the shirt gripper on the pants for you" and then when I looked at my receipt, there was a $15 charge for it. Just left a bad taste in my mouth the way the guy acted. Unprofessional and clearly needed the extra $$ from...
