My boyfriend and I are new homeowners and as soon as we walked through the doors we were greeted by Debbie. She is not your average saleswoman, she didnât follow us around the store but instead told us to say her name and sheâd be there. She was so helpful and personable. Will definitely be going through Debbie again!
UPDATE: A few weeks after purchasing the furniture, my boyfriend and I got the keys to our new home and we had made a phone call to change our delivery date which had been scheduled for January 13th prior. We moved our delivery date to January 6th and we were told this would be no problem! January 6th came and we were updated throughout the day with an expected arrival time of the delivery drivers. Both guys, the driver and the helper, shook our hands and introduced themselves. The driver then asked if I was notified via phone call about my couch being broken. I told the driver that I was never notified this. The driver then told me that I can have them deliver the couch in the house since the arm on the couch was broken and by doing this I would wait months before getting a new couch since we have somewhere to sit, or we can have them take the couch back to the store and get a new couch very soon since we wonât have anywhere to sit. After talking it over with my boyfriend, we decided to take the couch. Once I alerted the deliver driver, the driver said the couch couldnât even be taken off the truck. The delivery driver also told me that the center console to our love seat was never loaded on the truck. We had also ordered dressers which were delivered but the delivery drivers hit our front door with one of the dressers!! To make things even worse, I caught a delivery driver going through my belongings on my table! After talking to the store immediately following these events, we had been told various different dates for the delivery of our furniture. This became frustrating because at the end of this nonsense, we didnât even get our furniture completely until the final week of January and we had to drive to pick up the last piece! We were never informed furniture can be delayed or else we wouldâve been more understanding but I had spoken to at least 5 different managers who were nothing but useless. After all the frustration, I made the choice to call their corporate office 3 days before we finally got our furniture and corporate was so helpful! The store called to cancel the arrival date of my final piece of furniture and corporate put me on hold to call the store and figure out why they called me to cancel this because the furniture was supposed to come in. The store told corporate that they were âplaying it safeâ. All in all, I will NEVER do business here again. Corporate did reimburse us a very small portion of the amount we paid but nothing will ever bring me to walk into that...
   Read moreBought a couch five weeks ago the store forced us to place a delivery time at the time of purchase when we didnât want to the store said they would call us if the furniture came in early. They failed to do so I called and it happened to be in stock and they got my delivery changed on delivery day. They schedule us a time of 3:45 PM to 6:45 PM. they called at my phone from an out-of-state number and an hour and a half before my allotted delivery time. I didnât take the call because it looked like spam delivery marked it as undeliverable because no one was at my home because we didnât make arrangements for someone to be there an hour and a half early When I called the store and asked about the delivery. The manager didnât seem to care he blew me off told me Iâd have to reschedule. I ended up picking the furniture up myself even though I didnât want to. Talked to the manager told him I was in the parking lot. He told me to go to the back to get the furniture. I loaded the furniture signed for it asked The guy that worked for the store that helped me load my truck where I get my delivery refund and he told me I had to go to the front of the store I went around to the front of the store. They refuse to give me a refund in cash would only try to put it back on my card. The store assumed that I apparently wanted the entire refund when I asked for the delivery refund I was mad I did not look at the receipt. The store called me three hours later accusing me of stealing the furniture instead of realizing that they made a mistake and gave me the wrong amount back on my card. He then told me it wasnât 1963 and refunds on debit card do not take up to 7 days to credit back to my account. I even asked about the balance left on the receipt from the return When I informed the store that I would come out the next day after work once the funds hit my bank account. They called corporate and told corporate that we stole it and corporate was gonna send the police to my house. We have since paid for this the same day because we didnât want to get arrested for the store making a mistake. The manager was belligerent to my wife when she was making the payment that they screwed up and gave back to us. Two customers left the store while she was in there hearing the storyand we will never shop there again and I donât advise anybody to ever do so either. Itâs unfortunate that brick and mortar stores like this will be closing because of customer service...
   Read moreHad no issues with value city when we purchased our furniture several years ago. We ordered a new couch in the beginning of April and our pick up date has been pushed back 4 times. On one occasion they called me 30 minutes before I was on my way to the store to let me know the couch wasnât there. FOUR TIMES I have had to find a sitter, ask my manager to take a half day at work to go pick up this couch, and borrow a truck just for them to say the couch isnât there yet and theyâre struggling to get it in. No apologies. No compensation. The online customer service representative was rude and dismissive as if it was my fault for expecting the product I paid for to arrive when I was told it would be here. 1 delay is understandable. 2 is pushing it, but whatever. FOUR times? Come on. Thankfully we have not gotten rid of our old couch yet but if we had we would literally be spending the past month sitting on the floor. Iâm about ready to call and cancel my order altogether because this is ridiculous.

My order got postponed yet again. I called the store back and requested my order be cancelled because this is ridiculous. The lady said my order was cancelled and expect a refund within 3-5 business days. Over a week goes by no refund. I reach back out and they tell me there is no record of that conversation and my order wasnât canceled (even though there was no updated delivery information available and my order was no longer accessible online? đ¤) and said they could reschedule pick up. I said fine but this is the LAST chance Iâm giving them. Pick up day comes around and to my surprise I get a notification that my order is ready! We drive 30 minutes to pick up our couch just for ONLY HALF OF MY COUCH TO ARRIVE. They literally said my order was ready for pick up and it was half a couch. HALF. They said the rest of it should arrive soon because they get shipments in every day but with their track record Iâm not holding my breath. Still no apologies. No partial refund or compensation. Nothing. I DO NOT recommend this business and will not shop...
