Add-on 9 months later: I left the store just now as SOOOOO many people are in the store without a mask. What a joke that Home Depot posts a sign at the door requiring them, and they list the same under their Google Map info. THEY DO NOT!!! They lost my business permanently. Going to Lowe's.
Home Depot employees were NOT managing social distancing at the customer service lines. I intentionally stood in the other line with my mask on, 6ft from the counter as someone else was being helped. The other line had two teenage boyzz with no masks. Later an inpatient female adult came in. Presumably the boys' mother. I'm not sure what the issue was but the employee and the adult female, who was projecting more than a normal talking voice, came to the register/counter where I was being helped to talk with that employee. Neither the employee or the woman honored the 6ft social distancing. I left the counter as soon as I could. I went to a register since there were no customers. I asked to speak to a manager. Tim came over. I explained the situation and asked that they talk to their employees and remind them that they need to have customers 6ft apart. ESPECIALLY when the customer isn't wearing a mask. Seriously .... this is what he said, "We can't have employee meetings so we can't do that." There was waaaaay more lack of leading by Tim in that conversation but that pretty much gives you a full on about Home Depot mgmt when it comes to COVID-19!!! Read moreUpdate: Maybe it's due to the mass worker shortage, or who knows... However, in the few trips I've made back since my previous review it has always been a terrible experience. Twice I have had plumbing employees tell me they've never heard of a part I was looking for and that they don't carry it, only to find it myself within a few minutes. Also, twice I have had forklift drivers damage my purchases while loading them in my truck. I now only use this store when it is an emergency and my preferred stores have closed for the evening. I am still grateful for what they pulled off in Feb 2021 as posted in my previous review here:
In general, I avoid "big box" stores and prefer to support local businesses whenever possible. If I was rating The Home Depot as a company it would be very low. However, the hard-working people at this store made the difference. Especially today, as the state deals with record winter storm weather which caused a ridiculous amount of plumbing failures. This HD team pulled together in order to open the store so we could get the parts we needed to get our water - and a piece of our lives - back. So, even though I'm still not a fan of Home Depot overall, I do appreciate the front-line workers who made this happen.
The attached picture (if it shows with this review) is the line they had set up just to get into the plumbing aisle. They made it work well, without the shelves getting mobbed & overcrowded.

Read moreAfter using Lowes delivery service and having nothing but problems, without exaggerating! I have been working on a projects and building a “deck fabulous” deck, lol, anyways….I gave up on my last order that they called the morning of delivery and said ,once again!!!! That they have to reschedule! Not once have I ever gotten what I ordered on time and without issue! I decided to try Home Depot’s delivery. OMG!! So they did have to reschedule but the guy called me the day before, and when I was so irritated that I told him to forget it and cancel, He said,”Are you sure ma’am”? In a concerned tone… I was floored at that moment and so impressed, that’s all it took to win me over was to treat me as a person! I told that guy the problems I had with Lowes and how they treated me as if I was just a number. Anyways, after this, I was so happy, I told the Home Depot guy, to just deliver it whenever he wants and I truly am appreciative of the reaction he gave. He laughed and had it sent to me the very next day as he said he would. The delivery drive was very kind and respectful. He unloaded my shipment exactly where I asked and he smiled at me when he seen me peak around the corner(lol, I was so caught). Anyways, Home Depot’s Delivery service and customer service are TOP NOTCH and I highly recommend them, because dependable and reliable customer service and delivery are so very important. 5...
