ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE..!!
I parked near the entrance and walked into the dining area, no other customers were there yet, there was a young High School age boy working the drive-through/cash register and another older woman whom I assume was the manager working in the food prep area. I walked up to the automated order terminal and ordered a taco combo and then added a few items off the dollar menu, it asked me if I wanted to pay by Card or Cash and I selected cash, I submitted my order and walked up to the counter. The young boy working the drive-through told me I was not allowed in the lobby with out a mask on. I thought he was joking, in the state of Texas the COVID restrictions have not been enforced at any time, and as of 4 weeks ago ALL COVID RESTRICTIONS IN THE STATE OF TEXAS WERE ELIMINATED BY THE GOVERNOR. So I jokingly commented to the young boy “so you are not going to serve me unless I have a mask on..?” He said I had to leave the lobby, I decided to play the game so I walked out to my car grabbed an old mask and returned. Perhaps the young boy had already formed an attitude with me I guess..? He then told me I could NOT pay with cash, I had to pay with a card unless I wanted to go to the drive-through. I told him that the Automatic Order Terminal accepted my order and said I could pay with cash. But the young boy refused to process my order at his cash register. There are now other customers entering the dining room to place orders and a line is starting to form. So, I said “OK fine” and I walked back to the automatic order terminal and re-submitted my order and paid with a card. The other customers behind me were starting to laugh and also make comments. I received my order and I went to sit down at a table, I took my cup to the fill it up with Pepsi and it appears that the drink machine had no ice, so I returned to the counter and asked for ice. The young boy filled up a cup with ice and as he gave it to me, he accidently spilled it on the counter and floor, but I just took the cup and got my drink and sat down so that the other customers could complete their orders also. When I started to pull my food out of the bag, I noticed that they had not given me all the hot sauce I had requested on my original order. I usually like 2 packets of hot sauce for each of my items, tacos, burritos etc. So once again I went back to the counter to ask for the rest of the hot sauce I had asked for in my original order and I also asked for another cup of ice since I didn’t get very much to begin with. Now the older woman whom I assume was the manager decides to get involved, she stated “I did not have to open the dining area”, “I did it out of the goodness of my heart”, “I can tell you to leave”… I did not respond to her comments. The young boy gave me my cup of ice and as he walked away, I asked again for my hot sauce, he responded “the hot sauce was in your bag”, so I replied that I did not receive what I had ordered. So, then I told the older woman “if I can not get what I ordered then I would like to request a refund and I will just leave”. The older woman told me “OK, the dining room is now closed and you need to leave now or I will call the police and have you removed”. There were other customers in the dining room so I was not sure if her comment applied ONLY me or to everyone..? I did not respond to her. At the same time the young boy gave me my hot sauce, so I sat down at my table and began to eat my food while a stream of profanity and insults came from behind the counter. I am not sure if the manager actually did call the police as she threatened to do? But I finished my food and I departed. I don't believe any of my requests were unreasonable. I will never return to this...
Read moreI regret my eating choices by choosing this place. It's in a gas station and that should tell you something. Maybe it's convenient to get a bottle of Pepto or Immodium while you're there. The service was fast, but the people on the clock were not happy to be there. While sitting at the drive through, you can see a white board with survey targets for each shift. Our food was ready before I thought of taking a picture of it and I'm usually pretty quick with these kinds of things. Their goals are 80% customer satisfaction per shift. That means they are completely okay with 20% of their customers having a negative experience. I'm not kidding about this, go get a soda and see for yourself (but for god sake, no food!). The food quality was horrible--overpriced taco paste squeezed out onto a cold tortilla. They don't even fill the tortillas. It's like the paste is a rare and valuable commodity. They don't even fill the empty spaces with lettuce, which is 90% water. Maybe NASA invented the taco-flavored paste for space travel and that's why they are so stingy in dispersing it. Maybe they use a caulking gun to push the paste out of the super expensive space bags onto their cold, water, flour and lard pressed discs. Taco Bell used to be considered a decent fast food value option but now it's just a very poor choice all the way around. Save your time and money, go across the street to Taco Cabana (I'm not a huge fan of theirs either but at least the food is better) or even better, go to Mary's Taco House or Boerne Taco House. You'll be glad you made better choices. The only reason I'd go back is to take a picture of the whiteboard so I...
Read moreSergio is his name. Hispanic Male, manager at taco bell location in Boerne, texas 78006; Extremely rude to other employees. Also, I noticed he greeted several guests in orderly manner, as I quietly waited for my order, and observed; the disgusted look in this manager's eyes arose and his complete mannerism changed in seconds!!!!! As SOON as a homeless man (customer) went up to register, (with money to purchase items on menu) this MANAGER, glared at him as if he despised this man, and did not say a word to this customer, I could not believe my eyes. Judging this customer/man by his attire. I have been to this location a few times and I am not sure if he realizes that us (customers) can HEAR this manager over the music in lobby, raising his voice for atleast 30 minutes on and off. Very bad attitude and temper. I feel extremely uncomfortable being attended by a man like this. Managers should GUIDE and MOTIVATE employees to work as a TEAM. A while back I noticed a Manager, Bill, wonderful, happy worker. Greeted me, Introduced himself, respectful. I have seen new RGM ( as seen on name tag ) hispanic looking man, I believe, both have treated other customers and myself with nothing but smiles, wonderful manners, and positive attitudes!!! Besides that, the food was good and the place...
