Sauced Wing Bar — Restaurant in Boerne

We eat out a lot, but have never experienced such poor service, or absolute lack of service as we did tonight. We have frequented this place a few times since we discovered it just in April. This was a 4th visit to the restaurant.

The first time we came on a weekday evening, sat inside, and we enjoyed everything, the food and the service were excellent. Our waitress was a doll and so attentive.

The second time we came on a weekend evening and sat outside. We waited for about 10-15 minutes until the hostess came out and asked if anyone had started to serve us yet. No one had. She profusely apologized, said she was going to get us a new waiter and took our drink order which she personally brought out to us. The service was slow but the food was good and the hostess at least was very nice, attentive and apologetic.

We came again on a weekend for lunch, sat inside. Waitress was very sweet but a bit forgetful. Had to ask for some items a couple times, but was quick and food again was excellent.

Came tonight, about 6:45 on a Friday, and sat outside. Maybe this is where we went astray. It seems that the patio servers are where the issues stem. Place was fairly busy but not terribly, there were many empty tables in the patio area. The hostess told us to sit wherever we liked as there were quite a few open to choose from. 6 servers were working the patio area, not including the at least 3 or 4 I saw serving inside. Not a single server ever acknowledged us. We waited 25 minutes before walking out, never having talked to a single person other than the hostess who had sat us upon arrival.

We are pretty patient people and I really have no issue waiting for good food. But the fact that you had more than enough servers working, and not a single one took responsibility for our table, walking past us again and again, fully seeing how long we had been there is appalling. Not to mention the two servers chatting up a friend at the table next to us.

I really truly love the food here. We come to Boerne every week to swim and of all the restaurants we have tried this place has been our favorite. But when the service 2 out of 4 times has been sub standard, it is unacceptable. I realize I could have, and likely should have reached out to ask for a manager to address the issue in that moment, but after sitting for 25 minutes, without even a drink to bide my time as I waited for food, I had lost all desire to give your business a penny.

I will give this business one last try, and I truly hope that those managing the establishment see the issue here and work to resolve it as I would love to continue being a repeat customer here. Reading from the reviews, it seems like this is a common complain it does not appear management is aware or if they care. If this is an issue again I will be sure to bring it to managements...

Howdy there, we visited last night with high hopes we had finally found somewhere to eat in boerne, it was busy I thought for sure it must be good then. I was so wrong, please read on if you would like the full story. We were seated quickly GREAT! Apps came quickly awesome! Then it was all down hill from there. Food was delivered. All chicken was dry as a bone and only have our order was tabled and the other half took another 15 minutes or so to arrive those being two salad,, so as my kids and husband were eating my mother and I sat wishing for our food...... then when it arrived my chicken on my salad was also dry, my kids chicken dry, the wings dry. I paid 15 dollars for my Cobb slad, I got almost all hearts of Romaine barely any leaf. My bacon was bagged bacon bits not fresh bacon I received one cup of dressing for a huge salad but frankly did not want to ask for more as I felt I'd probably never receive it. The only thing we did enjoy was the queso Blanca dip man was that yummy! On my trip to the restroom I passed a table, I'm assuming where the employees sit when not busy or with a customer. A waitress sat there was holding her tips in the air "this is all I've made tonight" she had them fanned out showing each bill "134 for a full day!" she seemed definitely upset about it, as customer I don't find that very appropriate. we had a discussion with the manager who said he would try to help take a little off the bill because the food was not up to par with the price and experience but did that happen? Nope, he walked over to the screen and sure acted like he was going to, but it never was done. This establishment seems like it is owned and run by children that couldn't care less about the quality of the food vs the price they are asking. If I'm paying upwards of 14 dollars for a salad I'm sorry but I expect it to be well worth it and atleast dining at a chicken restaurant for all of our chicken to be edible. The worst was being told one thing and never having it done for us. so the hunt continues, will we ever find a good restaurant in boerne worth spending our money at? Only time will tell. My husband and I have been wanting to visit this spot for a while. It was definitely well worth the wait! The vibe was so chill…and as soon as we got there - the weather felt perfect…So we chose to sit outside. Our waitress was so nice and helpful! We started with a beer, and the fried pickle spears. They were DELICIOUS! So crispy and SO flavorful! Next, my husband opted for another craft beer, while I went with the Adult Pineapple Dole Whip at the recommendation of our waitress. BEST CHOICE EVER. It was so delicious!!! I’ve been craving another ever since! Now. Let’s talk about THOSE WINGS. My husband and I are big wing people…but I can easily say - They were the… BEST WINGS WE’VE EVER HAD. No lie. Hands down, the best. So much flavor, and they were huge! The meat was PERFECT. We always like to get a mild, medium, and hot flavor…so we ordered Lemon Pepper, Honey Sriracha, and Peach Habanero. Lemon Pepper is always a fave in our house…but these were NEXT LEVEL. They had the perfect balance of lemon and pepper. And even though it’s a dry rub - they were not too dry. They were PERFECT. The Honey Sriracha were also a great balance of the two flavors. We’ve found that other wing places - when they do honey mixed with another flavor - the honey gets lost. But not these. They tasted DEVINE. The last flavor - Peach Habanero- OH. MY. GOD. They were CRAZY hot…my lips burned BAD after eating them. But I couldn’t STOP eating them!! It was the most incredible sweet and spicy mix. We needed the whole experience with one of their Espresso Martinis. It was also delicious.

We seriously enjoyed our experience SO MUCH…& cannot wait to go back next time we are in the area. We’ve told everyone we know about these wings…& how they are the best. Keep up the good work, Sauced!!!
